Phys. Ed: Week 7, Period 1 (Fri. 2/20)

The Danger Shop was still a gym and the man with the whistle was still Ronon, but in the spirit of spring break, there was a special assignment for the day and a whole slew of mats to do it on.

"Congratulations, today you're all cheerleaders," Ronon announced happily. "Being a Gremlin for a day is an honor and will be treated as such. There's a handout with a list of cheers and tumbling routine ideas. You guys get to perform for the class as a group, pairs, or on your own for your midterm test." He was mean. "Now, for the day your normal uniforms have been replaced with complete cheerleading uniforms and pom poms. Get suited up and have fun."

Prince Edward wasn't exactly sure about the pants. They were tighter than the tight he was used to. They hugged his stuff and his stuff was a little angry at him to begin with.

But a cheerleader!

"Lovely!"

"You dig the cheerleader thing, huh, Eddie? You should come see us practice sometime."

"Priest! Greetings Priest!" he exclaimed boisteriously. "I do not know what it is but I will come see this practice!"

He shifted his stance, blinking, grinning wide.

Edward didn't have a clue.

Alert the presses.

"Alright. Wednesday afternoons in the gym, man, I expect to see you there."

"I have yet to find this Jim! It is most aggravating, I must confess. He is an elusive, crafty fellow."

WOE.

"Not Jim, gym. It's short for gymnasium. Ask Dinah to show you."

"Dinah is back?"

He will ignore his ignorance about the gym.

"She just got back last night. She didn't --" Oh, right. She probably did text Edward, but who knew if he could figure out text messaging? "Yeah. She's back."

"Oooh! I shall have to go and see her! Is she fine? Does she look fine? Did she ask about me?" Oooh! Dinah!

"Yes, yes, and -- uh -- sure. In that order."

He narrowed his eyes, considering Priest.

Priestly did his best to look innocent.

"She did not ask about me, did she? And do not lie, I will know it!"

"She didn't ask me," Priestly said, "but I'm sure she asked somebody."

Princes did not pout. Edward did not pout. Instead he cocked a leg in his very tight pants and tried hard not to wince.

"You should stretch," Priestly noted. "It helps."

That was nearly laughable. Stretch? Did Priest forget who he was talking to? Prince Edward never needed to stretch.

"...it is these pants," he admitted, his voice oddly low.

"I know, dude. You gotta warm the fabric up. Make it stretchy."

"And how do I do that, exactly?"

[Headed out! bbl!]

"By stretching."

"Deomonstrate, please."

Priestly rolled his eyes, but set about doing some basic stretches.

"Ah-hah! I see! Thank you, Priest!"

"Hey, no problem." Priestly tended to prefer that his friends didn't pull muscles. "Try it out, dude."

He shook his head, folding his arms across his chest. "No, uh, no."
