Childhood Games, Class #7, Thursday period 1

There was a Lily here today when the kids got to the classroom. Yes, classroom, no Danger Shop today. And this Lily was a tense little thing. Because while she may have looked like a cute innocent everyday teacher girl, she was in actuality kind of a sex fiend and this week was going to kill her.

"Today we're learning about language. Kids grow up, they start hearing you talk, they start imitating what you say which is why you shouldn't curse in front of them unless you want them to grow up to be sailors, and it's harder to learn languages when you get older which is why it's easier to grow your kids bilingual. There. You're done learning. For the rest of the class, talk to your friends."

And as she sat back at her desk, she added, "And shut up!"

Figure that one out.

Angela shrugged. "Well, whatever it is, I hope it's not catching. I happen to like my good mood."

"Me too," Peyton said. "And there's food apreciation next so I'm all over happy."

"Oh, I could definitely live with a class like that," Angela sighed.

"I am sooo happy I ended up in it," Peyton said. "Almost makes up for Networking."

"Networking is really that bad?" Angela asked.

"For me, yes," Peyton admitted. "I always feel so stupid."

"Not one of those where you can just sit quiet and hope he doesn't pick on you, huh?" she said, wrinkling her nose.

Peyton shrugged. "Not really. And there's all this group work."

"Small class?" Angela guessed. She didn't wait for confirmation on that, before continuing. "... Well I guess, at least you've only got a few more weeks in it?"

"Yeah. Wow... I'm graduating soon." For some reason this hadn't occured to Peyton until right now. Not like this anyway.

And it left her looking a bit stunned.

"Wow, you are aren't you." Angela had kind of forgotten about that. Oops.

"I'm kind of... wow." Yeah, speechless.

"I'm not sure if I should try and backtrack and tell you you've still got a whoooole several weeks, or not..." Angela admitted.

"No, it's fine," Peyton said. "Just... wow. I mean, it doesn't seem real. And even though I didn't want to stay at home, I guess somehow I always sort of thought I'd graduate back home with my friends."

"Stuck with us instead," Angela joked with a little smile. "How awful."

Peyton ducked her head, smiling and blushing. "It's not that," she protested.

"I know what you meant," she said. "I was just teasing."

"I haven't even gone home. Not for a weekend or anything."

"It's a bit like a whole other world, isn't it," Angela said. She hadn't actually been home either. It was a strange feeling.

"Yeah. It really is," Peyton admitted. "Especially with Brooke here. And Lucas, For a while." Yeah, she missed him an awful lot.
