Library [02/11]

Sam was still thrown off from the weekend, and nearly overslept to the point of being late to open the library. Luckily, he was no stranger to a little early morning running.

Sam spotted Peter and grinned, more grateful than usual to have visitors he liked to see. "Hey, how's it going?"

"Not bad," Peter said. He brought over the coffee and donuts. "You?"

"The coffee's not that good," Peter said, teasing.

"I've been practicing the whole good boyfriend thing," Sam said, before taking a big bite of donut.

"I would say you're doing well," Peter said. "If you're looking for feedback."

"Feedback is totally helpful. Like when I give you feedback on how you're doing with not turning invisible." He could be so subtle sometimes.

"...for instance," Peter said, wondering if Sam was going to gift him with a segue.

"How's that going? The stuff with Anakin, I mean," Sam asked. "I want to apologize for insisting that you should let me help you with the dangerous stuff. I talked to Anakin, and he kind of got my head on straight about that."

"Good," Peter said. "I was able to shield without going invisible. Just have to keep practicing. Which you could help me with."

"Moral support is very helpful too," Peter said, giving Sam a grin.

"That's easy. You shouldn't even need to ask to know you have that from me," Sam said. He pushed the coffee out of the way, and leaned over to give Peter a kiss.

"I dunno," Peter said, even as he kissed Sam back. "What about tonight? I might need a lot of support then."

"I can give you all the support you need tonight," Sam promised. "I'll be all yours, I swear."

"I like the sound of that," Peter said. He leaned in to get another kiss. "Think we can get that to last more than a night?"
