Phys Ed: Week 5, Period 1 (Fri. 2/6)

The Danger Shop was set up like a gym as usual, but this week there was a giant mechanical bull in the center of the room, surrounded by cushy mats. Riding on top of it with one hand on the saddle reigns was the instructor, hair happily silver bow-free and face grinning broadly. He dismounted the bull when it was time for the lecture to begin.

As some would say, Ronon was scary when he was in a good mood. "Okay guys, so I saw this in a movie once and I say it counts as part of your education into those things physical. So ride the bull. See how long you can hold on once it gets up to speed." He picked up a large cowboy hat. "One hand goes on the bull, the other holds this hat in the air for balance. Go ahead and place bets on who falls off quickest and let's see what you got!"

"I bet I can last the whole thing," he declared. This looked easy.

Gavin glared at the mechanical bull, trying not to remember his last unfortunate incident with something similar.

How odd. But OH!, this would be amazing! Much like riding an ogre!

Ohhhh, this wouldn't be pretty. She never thought she'd miss the sheep.

Yeah, this was another stupid week, but Claire was kind of psyched to get to try the bull. It seemed like it might be sort of fun.

This task looked so much like riding a horse, and yet so unlike riding a horse that Éowyn did not know what to think. Still, she was determined to last longer than at least some of the boys.
