The Cafeteria, early afternoon Thursday

After her sparring session with Jen, and a quick shower, the hat ended up back on Dinah's head. Giving up on changing that, she headed for the cafeteria to grab a quick lunch.

Marco was grumpy. Marco had a really odd hat that would not come off (not even when he had tried morphing into a chimp). Marco headed for food.

Dinah waved to the guy she didn't know, her head bobbing a little with her hat. Stupid hat. "Hey."

Marco nodded before realizing that the girl also had a hat stuck on her head. "Did the hat gnomes attack again?"

"Again?" Dinah asked plaintively, pushing the hat at an angle. "It's happened before? You know, I'm getting scared to ask that question."

Marco nodded, as serious as he could be with a bow bopping on his head. "Oh yeah. Last time? There were polka dots." He shuddered.

"Ergh. I kind of like this one. If it weren't stuck to my head by force of whatever," Dinah said with a sigh. "I'm Dinah. Hi. You're wearing that awfully well, though."

Even after Tuesday, she still wasn't used to people being this complimentary. "Thank you!" Dinah grinned and took another sip of her Coke. "So, weirdest Fandom experience that might happen to us again, so I can hide from it or at least hit it with a baseball bat afterward?"

Marco had been aiming for flirty. "Dinosaurs." He said quickly. "Weirdest, but oh so awesomest."

Flirty would probably have worked on Dinah too, if it weren't for the hats. It was a huge handicap for anything like that.

On the other hand, dinosaurs worked for cool. "Really? Seriously? When was this? Did they wreck anything? Was there a T-Rex?"

Nothing was more awesome than a T-Rex.

Marco grinned. "Don't remember, didn't think to, and I fought one." He morphed into a poodle and ran away. "And it wasn't even my first time against dinosaurs."
