Library [02/04]

It had been difficult for Sam to get out of bed this morning, with Peter still warm beside him, but he'd managed to do it once he realized that he wasn't feeling compelled to tell the truth anymore. With the potential for awkwardness gone (well, at least for that kind of awkwardness), Sam went ahead and headed to the library. Maybe people would want a quiet place to hide from anyone they'd said stupid things to yesterday.

Sam got settled in at the desk, and tried to finish waking up. It was taking a little longer today than usual.

Once he was awake, Sam started tackling his e-mail in search of anything even remotely reasonable or entertaining.

Sam started going through the library's records to check for overdue books, which wasn't nearly as boring to him as it might have sounded.

Sam had cookies for Dean, as a peace offering for asking him difficult questions yesterday. The answers still weren't sitting well with him though, so he hoped Dean didn't decide to avoid him today.

Fourth Period [02/04]

With everything from lunch put away, Sam worked on decluttering the main desk, muttering to himself occasionally about how the mess could have accumulated.

Sam took a long sweep through the library to make sure everything was clean before he had to head out.

Dean had considered not coming today, but realized that was just going to make things worse. So he showed up as usual, stubbornly determined to ignore anything he had said yesterday.

Sam smiled weakly at Dean when he came in. "Hey," he said. starting easy. "How are you doing today?"

"Way too long," Peter said, not joking at all. He leaned across the counter to get a kiss.

"Pretty good. I had a really good night," Sam said. "Much better than class was."

Sam had no problem kissing Peter back, quite strongly in fact. "I'm glad you came by," he said when they broke apart.

"Best boyfriend ever," Sam commented, in case Peter wasn't already aware of that fact.

"I suppose I can live with that," Peter said. He sipped his coffee. "How's your day going?"

"A lot quieter than yesterday, which is definitely something I can live with," Sam said. "I might have to strangle Dean into thinking sensibly, but that's actually not a completely new thing."
