Food Appreciation [Class Four, Period #3]

Marshall was just kind of staring at everybody when class started. He didn't look angry or anything. He was just staring, maybe looking a bit worried.

A little more staring.

A little more...

"I'M AFRAID TO TALK TO EVERYBODY TODAY," he said suddenly. "So far today I told a radio squirrel that if I were another squirrel I'd totally tap that and I told Ted that I didn't really mind his red cowboy boots!"

Ignore the fact that nobody here knew who Ted was.

"What if I start doing lecture and I suddenly start talking about how I think Kaylee's little accent is about the cutest thing I've ever heard and how that sometimes I want to ruffle Sam's hair because it looks fun?" Marshall's eyes widened. "Oh god, I'm doing it already!"

He pointed at the buffet table which had all sorts of moddable sandwiches and subs on them.

"Sandwiches! They're delicious and easy to make! Eat them!" Marshall said. "And for the love of god, someone save me from myself!"

"Because there was cake batter on it and I didn't want to waste it," Ned explained.

"Well, the burner was still on and I burned my tongue," he said. "I had to go to the school nurse with a rag on my tongue because it hurt and everyone laughed at me."

Ned bit down on his hand, trying not to say anything else. "Maybe...we can talk about those later somewhere else?"

Kaylee nodded eagerly. "I kinda wanna kiss you now 'cause you're bein' sweet an' then we'd stop talkin'," she offered.
