Food Appreciation [Class Four, Period #3]

Marshall was just kind of staring at everybody when class started. He didn't look angry or anything. He was just staring, maybe looking a bit worried.

A little more staring.

A little more...

"I'M AFRAID TO TALK TO EVERYBODY TODAY," he said suddenly. "So far today I told a radio squirrel that if I were another squirrel I'd totally tap that and I told Ted that I didn't really mind his red cowboy boots!"

Ignore the fact that nobody here knew who Ted was.

"What if I start doing lecture and I suddenly start talking about how I think Kaylee's little accent is about the cutest thing I've ever heard and how that sometimes I want to ruffle Sam's hair because it looks fun?" Marshall's eyes widened. "Oh god, I'm doing it already!"

He pointed at the buffet table which had all sorts of moddable sandwiches and subs on them.

"Sandwiches! They're delicious and easy to make! Eat them!" Marshall said. "And for the love of god, someone save me from myself!"

"Usually, all I have to do to piss my dad off is max out his credit cards," Summer said. This overtalking thing was going to suck.

"Not on purpose! But it still didn't make him very happy," Summer replied. "I used to be a spoiled brat. I'm still spoiled, but not as much."

"I might've been a spoiled brat if I hadn't been switched at birth," Mac told her. "The girl who took my place was."

Summer blinked. "You were switched at birth?"

Mac rubbed her forehead. "Uh, yeah, with this rich family across town. I have a biological sister who barely knows I exist."

"I think I would've preferred her to my brother." At that she managed to press her lips together and not say anything else. For now.

"I'm very glad I'm an only child. Makes being spoiled easier." Summer just facepalmed. "I won't tell anyone what you told me...unless someone happens to ask while this honesty stuff is going on."
