Management Theory [Tuesday, January 27, 4th period]

After the students found themselves down in the Secret Lab, wearing their hats and lab coats, Yzma began pacing before them.

"Today," she said, "we will perfect our yelling at minions technique. There is no use being in charge if there aren't any cowering minions, am I right?"

She didn't wait for anyone to tell her she was right.

"Today's scenario: your minion was supposed to take care of a very simple task of removing a body--" she coughed, "of water...from a table. Yes! There was a spill on a valuable antique and now there is a horrid water stain! Pair up and take turns giving each other a piece of your minds! If you don't make the other person cry, I shall turn you into a sheep."

She probably wouldn't do that.

Yelling beat being a sheep, though, so Romeo was ready to shout his head off.

Jenny looked Romeo over. He didn't look so tough. "You wanna?"

Romeo shrugged. "I fought with my girlfriend this week. I might enjoy this."

"All right, then," Romeo decided, them took a moment to get into character.

"You -- you wretched little girl," he said, raising his voice. "How dare you give so little thought to the possessions of your better? Have you a thought in that head at all?"

Jenny arched one eyebrow at him. "I don't see any betters around here."

"You are my servant," Romeo commented, and he sounded a bit much like his father, there. "Your careless spilling destroyed the table. Fix it, now, before I -- before I chop your head clean off."

Ah, idle threats.

Over a table? Bit of an overreaction, if you asked Jenny. "But sir," she said, trying the servant girl thing on for size, "if the table is destroyed how can I possibly fix it?"

"That's your problem to figure out, isn't it?"

"Then find someone who does and tell me what it costs," Romeo said, impatient. "Idiot. And you needn't call me sir."

"If I'm such an idiot, you shouldn't trust me with such tasks," Jenny said. "Sir."

Romeo broke character there. "Could I throw something at you? I think if I were really yelling, that's what I would do."

"Probably better," Romeo said, and mimed tossing something. "Okay, I just threw a phone book at you. Now look up furniture restoration! I trust you know how to dial."

Jenny flipped through an imaginary phone book. "Oh, here's one. Crazy Harlo's House o' Furniture Restoration. Sounds like a top notch establishment."

"Perfect. Go to," Romeo told her. "And bring me some grapes."

He didn't know why grapes.

Romeo made a face. "Hypothetical grapes, but that's only a little less disgusting," he said. "Is it your turn to yell?"

"Do you think swearing is forbidden?" Jenny wondered as she mentally prepared her spiel.
