Shop Class still accepting Students.

MacGyver pushes a large pallet of crates through the hallway to the Shop classroom.

The crates are marked with a return address of:

S.Summers
Charles Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters
1407 Graymalkin Lane
Salem Center, NY 12865

On top of the crates is a receipt from PayPal from a recent E-bay purchase. The receipt notes something about "Shi'ar Technology".

Mac checks to make sure the Sign-up Sheet is still posted and goes to work unpacking the crates and starting to install the equipment.

Anybody walking by might hear Mac cursing over the fact that the Owner's manual does not have an English translation.

Sam moved a little closer to investigate, but then realized that she had someplace else to be and couldn't take the time she wanted to check it over thoroughly. "See you later, guys, okay? It's been fun. And...Mac...I'll see you in shop class next week, right? Oh, and at the TA interviews on Thursday."

She waved goodbye, picked up her toolbox, and walked out of the room.

John enters after NOT encountering Sam in the hallway.
"Good. I don't have to pick the lock," he half mumbles to himself.

"Hi. Are there any metalwork tools in here?"

John walks in to see Mac fiddling with what looks like a homemade remote control. The room flickers from being a normal shop room (sans equipment) to a grassy field. Unfortuantely the grass is pink and the sky is purple.

"Tint control. Where's the tint control" Mac mutters.

He looks up and sees John. "Oh hey. Your Connor's kid right? Yeah I had all the metalwork tools removed so I could put in all the holographic equipment. Why? You need to make something?"

"Uh, yeah. Need to fab a plate to make a Harley carb fit a dirtbike."

"This is the Danger room Shop. I got some alien holographic/forcefield technology from a school down in New York. I had all the regular equipment taken out since we won't really be using a lot of the shop tools for class work. We'll be mostly doing on the fly fabrication with the elements around us. Hence the multi-environment simulator. You still interested in being a TA?"

"Oh and just so you can get some work done."

Marty flips a couple of switches on the remote and the room turns into a metal shop filled with all the tools John would need to work with.

"There's some real plate metal and whatnot back in the supply closet. All these tools should work."

"Just keep in mind the weapon's ban. Principal's son or not, I won't tolerate it."

"Well, Teach, if this virtual shop will work actual stock, then I guess I don't have to track down the former occupants of this room."

He pulled some dimension chits and a template out of his pockets.

"I'm still interested in the TA. I get access to the shop during class, after hours, right?"
