Movie Appreciation: Week 1, Period 3 (Fri. 1/9)

In time for third period, the Danger Shop had been transformed into a large movie theater complete with a stage in front of the screen. On the stage this morning, stood a large man with dreads who wore a leather ensemble that either screamed pot head or alien based on your point of view.

"Movies. People on Earth can't get enough of 'em. You may know I'm not from this galaxy, but I've seen enough movies in the past few years to have figured out it's all about entertainment. Which is where you come in." He stalked across the stage, trying to catch a few student's eyes as he went along. "This class is to appreciate movies. We'll watch clips an' discuss the types. I'm gonna ask you to spend a couple hours outside class watching some other movies as the semester goes along. Do it, don't, you're the one who won't get to kick Sheppard in the face when we act out meta for Hot Fuzz." Sadly for John, he wasn't kidding.

"This week we're doin' the intro thing. Tell us your name and describe your favorite movie. Then we'll see if anyone knows what the hell you're talkin' about and can guess the title. If you've never seen a movie or don't have a favorite, tell everybody why you're here."

"I'm Ichigo Kurosaki," Ichigo introduced himself. "I like a bunch of movies. If I had to pick one, I'd go with the story about the two mobsters who are out on the job and the boxer who wins the fight he's supposed to throw. Um... and one of the mobsters falls for his boss' wife and then she overdoses. There's a lot of shooting and killing people and they accidentally shoot a guy in their car and have to clean it up too. It's kind of hard to explain, because it's not told in order."
