Sam had been listening to the radio enough to expect to see bushels of bananas waiting for him when he got to the library. When he came in and found a basket of banana bread on the desk instead, he was wary enough that he decided to leave it alone. At least, until lunchtime. Then he could see if Dean would be willing to taste test it.

"You could always flunk everything and spend another year here," Sam said helpfully.

"I don't think I could flunk Food Appreciation if I tried."

"Yeah, and I don't think Mr. Eriksen would appreciate you trying. That class is too much fun."

"It's like someone sat down and decided to create like the perfect class," Dean enthused.

Sam laughed. "Can you imagine if there's a whole class on pie?"

The beatific smile on Dean's face made it clear that he could.

"Let's hope you don't get sick and have to miss that class," Sam said, somehow managing a straight face.

"You're never too sick for pie," Dean declared.

"Are you sure? You wouldn't want to waste the pie by throwing it back up."

"That's blasphemy there," Dean told him.

"Maybe you should skip that class so nothing bad will happen to the pie," Sam replied.

"You just want all the pie to yourself."

Sam laughed. "I'm not nearly as enamored of pie as you are," he said.

"So you say, but you're just trying to lull me so you can jump in and get the pie."

"Maybe I'm going to save the pie as a surprise for you later," Sam said.

"You better be," Dean said, acting all indignant over imaginary pie.
