Library [01/07]

Sam had been listening to the radio enough to expect to see bushels of bananas waiting for him when he got to the library. When he came in and found a basket of banana bread on the desk instead, he was wary enough that he decided to leave it alone. At least, until lunchtime. Then he could see if Dean would be willing to taste test it.

"So far so good," Peter said. He put the coffee and donuts down on the counter. "Yours?"

"Don't jinx things," Peter told him.

"I'm just making an observation about the day so far," Sam replied. "I don't want to jinx anything."

"Okay, good," Peter said. He leaned across the counter to try to give Sam a kiss.

Sam kissed Peter back softly, growing to like this benefit to Peter's visits more and more each time.

"So are you in heaven now that school's started again?" Peter asked.

Sam grinned. "Yes. I had my first class yesterday, and all the rest are tomorrow."

"My next one's Friday," Peter said. "Yesterday was pretty good. Professor Anakin's going to try to help me get more control of my powers."

"Really? That's awesome," Sam said. "He's definitely a teacher I would trust to help you."

"He offered," Peter said. "It was pretty nice of him. We'll start out in his office and maybe move to the Danger Shop if we need to."

"You're going to be careful, right?" Sam said. "Not try to do too much at once?"

"I promise," Peter told him. "I already mentioned how I don't like doing the duplicating."

"Good," Sam said, feeling reassured. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Moral support?" Peter suggested.

"Then I'm good." Peter broke off a piece of donut for himself. "Least for stuff that can be done while we're at the front desk of the library."

Sam worked very hard to keep his brain from going to a dirty place. "If you need support anywhere else, you have that too."

Sam gave Peter a look like he didn't entirely believe him, but he let it go for now. "I can give you other kinds of support elsewhere. Where it's safer and we won't get into trouble."

Sam looked innocent too, but that was just because he ducked his head down and blushed.
