Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
If anyone had hoped for good weather for the picnic, their wish had been granted as the day turned out to be sunny and warm. Everything had been cleaned up, spiffed up and bedazzled dazzled made as perfect as possible for the new arrivals. They deserved at least a few moments of pleasantness before the weirdness started to sink in.
May whatever deity they believed in help them now.
As usual, there were long tables set up with food and drinks, a table of nametags, and two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and one listing rooms and roommates for the new students. With everything in place, the picnic was ready to begin.
[OCD is up!! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible.]

He shook his head. "Nope." And shrugged.
Banning magic just seemed like way too much work.

Arthur was... of two minds about it. He wasn't his father, and he had never quite agreed with his violent policies. On the other hand, magic was dangerous.
This entire mental discussion was vocalised through a "Hm."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Spring 2009)
"Lots of weird things happen here," he warned Arthur. "So don't be too surprised by stuff like that."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Spring 2009)
And then uncrossed them, because the movement had irritated his arm, and he was not about to vocalize the wince in question.
He was absolutely certain now that this place was not what Uther thought it was.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Spring 2009)
Chad was going to say turning into animals, which seemed like sorcery, so he stopped, tried to think of a different example.
"Or--"
Dopplegangers came next, which could also seem to fall under the category. He tried again.
"Sometimes--"
Random wee tiny things. Well, shit.
Chad sighed, went to place a consoling hand on Arthur's shoulder. "Um, good luck," he offered. "Maybe you should go check out the roommate situation and walk around, see what I mean. I'll be at the picnic table playing music if you need anything, Arthur."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Spring 2009)
And then he turned and walked away. Ah, tact.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Spring 2009)
But mostly concern. It was going to be interesting when he went to go check in with Arthur in a few days.
Very, very interesting.
