Library [12.23]

Anemone knew she didn't have to open the library today, but, well, she felt like it. She doubted anyone would show up, but that was half the fun.

She put on some music, tied her hair back, and headed off down the aisles. Since it was probably going to be deserted, it was a perfect time to do some post-finals clean-up.

With how vivid his dreams had been, the books, everything in it, Ender knew he'd find-- something. Here. He didn't know exactly what it was he was looking for until he got there, and he saw the door, the one that Karal had pointed out to him once, and suddenly, he knew.

It wasn't Karal's day, though. He walked up to the desk, and said, "Do you know anything about it?" with a nod of his head towards the door in question. He figured she'd know what he was talking about.

It'd be much, much later before he'd find what he was looking for, but he did.

"Funny how?" he asked, because it might be important. He glanced sideways at the door again, his course becoming more obvious by the second. He just didn't know what he could do about it. Maybe she did.

"Evil Santa," Ender echoed, "Sounds tough." He looked back at her, his eyes a little narrowed due to no fault of his own. "And if you don't get permission?" he asked, patiently, if with a little bit of an edge.

"I don't think that would be a good idea." He wasn't talking about him going into the library, and he wasn't making a joke-- he wasn't quite threatening either, but rather matching her statement of a fact.

He didn't know her, and so the idea of asking her to come with him into special collections didn't seem like it'd be smart, but he did need a way in. "Any library aide?"

"I didn't know there was a list," he said.
