Library [Saturday]

Mac wasn't really sure that she needed to be here. Classes and finals over, she hardly thought anyone would be dropping in. Especially not considering how nice it was outside.

Still, she wasn't leaving for Christmas in Neptune until later on, so she might as well be around for the morning and making herself useful before she threw the rest of her packing into a bag and headed home for a week or so.

Mac watched him a moment, guessing what might be going through his mind.

"You're safe," she told him with a hint of amusement.

"That's great!" he said, exhaling a breath that he didn't realize he was holding.

Oh, that wasn't the right thing to say. "Not that I didn't enjoy it, it's just..." That wasn't any better. "I generally don't kiss people because a piece of wreath demands it."

Yeah, not exactly smooth, and Mac watched him try to dig his way out with an arched eyebrow.

"Not something I do everyday either," she said wryly.

"I'd hope not! You'd make a lot of guys happy." Jack was king of smooth, like a baby's behind. Smooth, and apt to occasionally emit something foul that would clear the room.

He grinned, hoping it was infectious. "It was good."

Mac smirked, deciding to take the complement as it was.

"Thank you," she said after a moment. Then, realising she was probably supposed to return that added, "You weren't bad yourself."

"... Can I help you with anything?" she checked, assuming there was probably a reason he was here aside from complementing her kissing abilities.
