Flight Club [Flight Shed, 2pm]

It was their last club meeting before the break and, with finals still ongoing, Gavin figured a nice, light meeting would probably be for the best.

"Hey everyone," Gavin said, nodding. "Hope finals are going well for you all. We're almost through them and then we get a nice break. Anyway, it's going to be a light, choose your poison kind of day. You can hop into the sim if you want and fly around, release some stress or you can sit and chat, eat cookies and stuff and take the time to unwind if you've already had some finals."

He nodded to the spread of moddable snacks and drinks.

"Thanks for coming out and I hope to see you all back here next year. We'll be getting a little more in depth into the flying machines of you all so that'll be fun. Until then, good luck on finals and have a good holiday."

Anemone let out a gleeful yell before sitting back in her seat to watch Momoko work. "See, you're doing fine," she said, keeping one eye on the energy levels while she looked out the canopy. "The 606 is a good girl, and she likes to fly. She'll do most of the work for you, really, all you need to do is steer."

[OOC: I'm pretty sure that Studio Bones was off their meds when they came up with Eureka 7, but it's so, so, worth it.]

"Whoah! This does feel great, and it reacts so quickly; you were right about maneuverability." It was then of course that she over-compensated and Momoko laughed as she worked the flailing mecha's controls in an attempt to stabilize. "Sorry! Sorry! I got distracted!"

"It's fine," Anemone laughed, poking her head around the seat to look over Momoko's shoulder again. She was practically bouncing, she was so giddy. It felt... good. To show off what she knew.

"Ready for something a bit more advanced?" she asked, grinning with anticipation. "If you feel up for it, bend the legs and rock the weight back on the refboard. You'll do a back-flip."

"Ahhhh! I can do a backflip with the board?!" Momoko squealed and sat up a bit in her seat. Bend the legs? Bend the legs, bend the legs, bend the... which was that? Ah! She found the correct combo. "Okay! Now I just lean back? I don't have to jump?"

"Not a jump, just shift the weight back and push down. It'll bounce us right into the flip," Anemone assured her, scrambling to sit back in her seat. She had one hand on the emergency controls in case Momoko needed the assistance, but the other girl was handling it just fine so far.

Besides, it was a sim. If they crashed, no big deal.

Just... shift... Momoko looked once more over the gauges to make sure she was still okay then leaned into the controls and, while not spectacularly, she did manage to tumble into a backflip. There was a stumble afterwards, but that didn't alter Momoko's opinion of the 606.

"Oh yeah! That was so great! Wow! Did you see that? I mean, of course you did, since you're here, or there, back there, but whoah we flipped and ON THE BOARD and I didn't crash!" This was so cool!
