We are starting a new class project. I have tagged five members of the class via a secret email. Those students have just discovered that they are human-form robots. Your job as a class is to figure out who those five students are and how you would react if you discovered they were not as human as they acted. This should take tonight's class period and next weeks. You are also allowed to work on this over the week.

For the ones who are ~~cylons~~ human-form robots: Your job is to keep the real humans guessing and to write a report on how you had to hide your true identity followed by how you had to deal with how the "humans" in your class reacted to you.

For those who are humans: Your job is to give me a report on how you felt to discover your close friends and school mates were not what you thought they were.

~~For those of you who are actually cylons in disguise: I have cake and tea for you after class as this project may be traumatizing.~~

The reports will be due Wednesday, October 19.

"~~You're still on my list of possible evil robots.~~" Anakin levitated a pen and let it spin in a circle unattended. "So you say. But if you're a trained robot, you'd be good at avoiding uncomfortable questions."

~~You're still on mine, but OMG, it would make me so sad if you were an evil robot.~~ Beka couldn't do anything cool like levitate a pen, so she just smiled helpfully. "Trained robots would be masters of distraction. What happens if I grab that pen while you're doing that?"

He grinned. "Maybe nothing. Maybe I'll use that time to take over the class and implement my evil, evil programming."

"Probably the first one, though."

"Is it wrong that I want to find out?" She grinned. "Being ~~a Jedi~~ an evil evil robot must be so much fun."

"I guess it depends if you want to find out based on actual curiorsity or programming to help me implement my hypothetically evil plan." He began levitating her pen as well.

"Mwahaha, etc."

"If your evil plan has anything to do with getting drunk in a bar somewhere then I'm not at all interested, not even a little ~~ok, maybe a little~~. But if it's taking over the world one pen at a time?" She grabs for her pen. "I'm so there."

Anakin put up his hand. "I would never divulge my masters' secret plans. If I had masters. Or a secret plan."

He looked shifty. "Which I totally, totally don't."

~~Sith!~~ Robot!

Anakin looked kind of disappointed. "You got me. Mwahaha, etc."

...well that's no fun. You're supposed to deny it, aren't you? That's what I've been doing.

::smacks herself in the forehead with her palm::

"Yes! It worked!" Anakin did a little dance in his chair. "Join me in our evil, evil plan to take over the world or whatever."

We have an evil plan? I was just told I was a robot. Nobody said anything about evil.

My robot plans are of the love and sunshine kind.

"I can get on board with that. I'm not evil. Just terribly misunderstood."

Yay! ::hugs Anakin::

So, what do we do next?

We plot the extermination of the human race?

Ha! I knew you were a robot.

Do we have to? Can't we plot the massive hugging of the human race or something?

Anakin scowled. "~~I'm so going to have to work on being sneakier.~~ Damn."

"Well... it's just... the etc kind of gave it away..." She looks contrite.

He shrugged. "I had you guys going for a while, anyway. And you were supposed to find out eventually, I think. I guess I'm not really good at the sneakiness."

"I guess now we're supposed to react. And... I'm not really sure how I would. I mean... if you were ~~a Sith~~ evil and hurt people, I'd have to fight you. I'd probably die, but I'd have to try. That would suck."

"And I'd probably be dismantled for not being subtle enough. You'd get to meet up with Anakin 2.0."

*wails* But I liked Anakin 1.0! "No. Because I'd be dead at the end of Lightsaber 1.0."
