1) A system of numerical identification catagorizing books, out of use as ISBN takes its place.

2) Happiness is all my books shelved alphabetically by Author. (OOC:actually true)

*Paige pokes her head into the library*

Erm is this a paid position? And what exactly does the job involves?

1) Explain the Dewey Decimal System in three words or less.

Order from chaos.

2) Complete the following phrase, "Happiness is..."

Happiness is watching people find their happiness.

3) What number rule is Dr. Pierson's favorite rule? ETA: Please note which section and number it is, ie. IV./27.

Arthur T. Pierson or yours, sir?

I would say VI. 4 or II. 4. Actually, II. 4. is my favorite because I really don’t like violence and if someone else will see to it that it doesn’t occur and can handle it if it does, I’ll be happy.

About myself. I’m a very responsible and conscientious angel person who likes to look out for other people and help them in any way I can. I do like to read and think books are wonderful Earthian advancements.

As I stated above, I don’t like violence and will avoid physical conflict whenever I can especially since Katgetsuya isn’t here to help me if I get into trouble. I don’t carry any weapons other than my books and would hate to have to use them and end up ruining them with blood.

I’m quiet and like it when it’s quiet and while I’m a bit on the messy side, the library seems like a good place for me to learn a bit of order and structure.

Janet walks into the library carrying a stack of paperwork. "Do you really want me to give you an application for a student librarian position, or would you rather just let me behind the desk so I can issue library cards?" She pauses. "Oh, and I like all the rules, but the best reason for me to work here is that I'll give you a cut of any library-related bribes I take."

*Notices applications are being taken, realizes she doesn't have that much to do yet, fills one out.*

1. Books. In order.
2. Happiness is, um, books. And learning. And quiet.
3. II/4? You seem to like the sword...

About me: My name is Angela Chase, I'm 16, I'm from outside Pittsburgh, I guess I'm usually pretty responsible, I like to read.

1. As it says.

2. Quiet and Order. By force if necessary.

3. V.I Although I believe they should all be observed strictly. Even if I do have to leave Gloria in my dormitory.

1) Pointless. And annoying.

Allow me to explain. Surely we can find a way of organizing that won't have people asking for help with the squalling card catalogue every fifteen minutes.

2) Happiness is a spot of peace and quiet.

3) I'm going to say II./4. It's a good rule. Solid, like.

Because it's funny.

[identity profile] pyramid-is-life.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Sounds really complicated

2) Happiness is a worn pyramid ball

3) Who?

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Systematic Sorting Orgy.

2)Happiness is.. getting what you want when you want it, be it books, quiet, information, or bloodshed.

3) I. 3. Nobody gets to commit murder in the library but the librarian. NO EXCEPTIONS.

I would like to put in a late application, as some form of extracurricular activity is required.

1. Organizational tyranny
2. Happiness is freedom
3. II/4. An educated guess, but to arm oneself is unnecessary when fisticuffs will do for most conflicts. Also, weapons can be turned against the user. All one can truly rely on is oneself.

By the way, did I mention that I knew we were going to get along well, Professor? *Janet smiles sweetly*
