Physics, Monday, Class #15, Period 4

The class had been handwavily contacted to meet Sam outside for the final class, so hopefully they were appropriately dressed for the weather and the proceedings.

"Hello, everyone," Sam greeted them cheerfully from where she was standing next to a table covered with lots of pumpkins of approximately the same size and weight. "Congratulations, you've almost made it through the class. All you have to do today is explain your pumpkin chucker design, what principles of physics you relied on primarily, and then, well, chuck your pumpkin. Whomever wins gets the J,GoB pie of their choice."

She paused. "No, I'm not baking it, calm down. No reason to sabotage this." After she'd cleared her throat, she continued, "I'd also like to thank you for being such an attentive class, and a pleasure to teach. I know the material has sometimes been dense, but I'm very proud of the effort you've put in and home that, at some point, something you've learned here will be useful."

Fur fluffed out, John hopped over to Rodney and tried to look up at him through all the fur.

Rodney noticed the bunny that seemed to want his attention. "What? You think I have a carrot or some- oh for the love of all that is sane and logical and apparently not my life, please do not be my partner. Not today," he pleaded.

In an attempt to prove who he was, John attempted to leap at Rodney's legs, intent on headbutting him.

"Are you trying to give yourself brain damage?" Rodney asked after the bunny impacted with his leg. "Oh, damn," he sighed. "You are John."

John was almost offended, but hey, some things were just true. He leaned back and scratched his long ear with his back leg. The fur was just annoying.

"Fine," Rodney huffed. "It's not like I was expecting you to contribute to our presentation, anyway." He titled his head as he looked at the bunny. "Your hair actually looks the same," he observed.

His hair was not the same. It was tons puffier than normal and all fluffed up. John wished there was some way to growl at Rodney. He settled for flattening his ears back in anger.

"What's that supposed to mean? I'm not going to pet you, so you can just put that thought right out of your minuscule brain," he declared.

Rodney was mean. John almost wished Rodney would pet him so John could get close enough to bite him.

Rodney thought John might be pouting. It was hard to tell with rabbits. "Okay, here's how this is going to work: I'll do all the talking and you can stand there and be fluffy," he waved his hands about in a gesture that was meant to indicate fluffiness, or something. "So, basically, nothing has to change," he concluded.
