Lee found himself a little tired when he opened the library today. Restless nights led to restless sleeps led to Lee half dozing behind the desk. If he'd been smart, he'd have built a fort to hide the sleep beforehand but he wasn't always that smart a guy.

The library was open.

"Suggestions?" Lee asked, tugging at the scarf playfully.

"I dunno, make out with your roommate? He's hot," Toby teased.

"Girlfriend," he reminded Toby with a laugh. "Girlfriend who has access to drugs. No making out with anyone who isn't her."

He laughed at the drug comment. "So how is the old ball and chain? All learning it up at college?"

"She's doing good," Lee said with a nod. "Smarter than most of her class but enjoying it anyway. The past is really...dusty."

"You should buy her a maid service for the holiday," Toby suggested.

"She lives in a dorm room most of the time," Lee replied. "Why would that help?"

"For the dust, dude," Toby rolled his eyes. Someone wasn't paying attention.

"No no, she isn't dusty," Lee said and laughed. "Georgia is. Or, well, the bus stations are."

"OH!" Toby got it now. "She pick you up at the bus station in a taxi?" Oh the winking and nudging that went along with that memory.

"No taxi," he said and laughed. "We got on another bus after I got off the first one. Maybe there'll be a taxi next time. I had to be on good behavior."

"Dude, all weekend you were on good behavior?" He pitied the fool.

"Well, not the entire weekend," he relented, "but most of it. We were staying with her mother, Toby. And I didn't make a great first impression so, you know, figured I should create trouble in her house."

"Good, it'd be sad if I got more play hitting the clubs here than the mono-man-taken guy."

"You've been busy," he said and laughed. "Did you have fun?"

"Fun, yes," Toby agreed. "I'm all like, restless and shit. Classes are almost over and I've got nothing going for break. You visiting the girl?"

"Probably in some way, shape or form," he said. "Might see how she feels about going to Caprica."

"Oooh, meeting the parents! You guys are so getting married," Toby tried really hard not to sigh.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Lee said, waving a hand. "Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, there. I'm not even thinking about marriage. But yeah, she should meet my dad sooner or later. Scary thought though."

"Terrifying," Toby agreed. "I can't even imagine graduating. Let alone introducing someone to my parents."

"Did Kevin never meet your parents?" Lee asked.

"Hell's no," Toby scoffed. "Like he'd want to."

"Well, he's still a bastard," Lee said easily. "Good riddance. You're better off without him treating you badly."

Toby lowered his eyes to something totes interesting on the desktop. "Dude, is it wrong that I miss him treating me badly?"

"It's not wrong," Lee said after a moment. "You cared for him. Hard to get over something like that. I think you deserve to miss him."
