History in Living Colour - Friday, Period 3 (Week 13)

The town of Tombstone looked a heck of a lot like it was straight out of a Western. The buildings lined Main Street, the central point of the town being the saloon. Horses were tied up at several points along the street, minding their own business. The one noticeable thing that differed from the other simulations the class had been through was that there were no people. This time, the class would populate the town.

Welcome to Arizona circa 1881.

"Let's hear a song," Alice said, wishing she had a cigar to chomp on. Did outlaws have cigars? It seemed as though gruff lines should accompany cigars, along with three days' worth of five-o'clock shadow. So much for either, then.

Lola eyed the piano, but figured this was the sort of thing a saloon girl did, so she had to play her part.

Her rendition of "Twinkle, twinkle little star" in German would have to do for now, though.
