Thanksgiving dinner, Cafeteria, Thursday early evening

Anyone who arrived in the cafeteria for Thanksgiving dinner would find the tables arranged in the best way possible to allow as many people to speak to each other as possible, and also covered in rust-colored tablecloths. And turkey confetti. In fact, the whole place was decked out in autumny orange and gold and reddish brown hues, including the centerpieces. Very warm and inviting and pretty, and thanks to the kitchen, it smelled great. All in all, the place looked very nice, and the food would actually be edible when it was time to eat.

And the Fandom High cheerleaders wanted everyone to have a wonderful Thanksgiving. ~~*mods, mwahaha*~~

"I'll carry you," he said and smiled. "How's that?"

"Might regret making that offer later," Angela replied with a grin of her own.. "If you eat half as much as you should, you'll probably be feeling just the same."

"Pfft, I'm a guy," he said and waved a hand. "I can eat a pound of food and still go run a marathon afterward."

"Doing that has got to make you feel ill at the very least," Angela said skeptically. If not, that was seriously unfair.

"I'll never tell," he said and winked. "If it helps, I don't want to do that but I could."

Angela huffed a little laugh. "If you did, I'd be worried. It's thanksgiving, you're supposed to relax."

"Mmm, I'm relaxed," he said, twirling a piece of turkey on his fork. "And happy. See, I'm in the holiday spirit."

"Lots of things to be thankful for?" Angela asked.

"Eh, enough," he said and shrugged. "I'm thankful for all this food."

"I don't think I've seen this much turkey in one place since... I don't even know," Angela admitted.

"Never had big dinners when you were a kid?" Hannibal asked.

"Sometimes," Angela said. "But these family sorts of holidays with my dad actually around, are rare enough that it was usually just the two of us."

"Better time spent doing more than cooking," he guessed. "I can understand that."

"Plus, where do you think I got my preference for take out over making my own food?" she said, smiling at him.

"Not a bad thing to pass down," he said and smiled. "I didn't do dinners like this either. Pizza. Rice. Peanut butter and jelly."

"Please tell me not all together in one meal?" Angela checked. Because ew, weird mix.

"No," he said and shook his head. "Just a sampling of some of my Thanksgiving dinners over the years."

"I think you're the one who needs to eat more," Angela told him. "You have previous years to make up for here."

"I made up for it with junk food," he said, waving it off.

"But it's not very thanksgiving-y," Angela pointed out. "Tell me you at least got turkey on your pizza or something?"

"Nah," he said and shook his head. "Turkeys were never a big thing in the King household."

"Officially all the more reason to make the most of this one," she decided, nodding firmly.

"Figured out what you're going to do with the rest of your extra long weekend yet?" She paused a beat before adding, "Sleeping almost the entire time is not allowed." New holiday rule.

"Haven't even thought about it," he admitted. "What about you?"

"So far the main suggestion seems to be shop," Angela replied. "Outside of that, I haven't decided either."

"Yeah, no shopping for me," he said and laughed. "Not my thing. And there's no way I'll wake up early tomorrow to go and spend money."
