The Art of War, Week #12 [Period 3, Monday]

"Are you all here?" Ghanima asked abruptly as the bell rang. "Anyone dead? Anyone kill anyone else?"

Without waiting for any sort of answer, she smiled impishly. "Good enough," she announced, hopping off her desk. "Today, we have two parts to our class. The eleventh chapter of Tzu's book speaks of both the varieties of ground found within terrain, and of leadership styles."

"I do not feel like going over territory disputes, I've done that enough this past week dealing with treaties from home that my brother has been kind enough to ask me to handle. Instead, we will look at the leadership aspects of the chapter. There are as many different styles of directing people as there are people in the universe. While Tzu has some very good, and very bad, ideas, I'm curious to see what qualities you look for in a leader."

"First, however, I want to hear your reports on your assignment."

[OOC: OCD is available for those that wish it. Class is in-session!]

Ben nodded curtly. "The most effective way to consolidate control would be to completely control the message--making sure your voice is the only one they hear is essential to that. Without official records beforehand, you can't be compared to leaders of the past. Without outside voices, you can completely control what your people hear and react to." He shrugged. "I think this is only effective when the area you control is small, otherwise you spend your entire time trying to track down and destroy the voices or dissent and none at all on your actual strategy."

His lips pressed together. "This sounds like what Jacen would do."

Not a compliment.
