The Art of War, Week #12 [Period 3, Monday]

"Are you all here?" Ghanima asked abruptly as the bell rang. "Anyone dead? Anyone kill anyone else?"

Without waiting for any sort of answer, she smiled impishly. "Good enough," she announced, hopping off her desk. "Today, we have two parts to our class. The eleventh chapter of Tzu's book speaks of both the varieties of ground found within terrain, and of leadership styles."

"I do not feel like going over territory disputes, I've done that enough this past week dealing with treaties from home that my brother has been kind enough to ask me to handle. Instead, we will look at the leadership aspects of the chapter. There are as many different styles of directing people as there are people in the universe. While Tzu has some very good, and very bad, ideas, I'm curious to see what qualities you look for in a leader."

"First, however, I want to hear your reports on your assignment."

[OOC: OCD is available for those that wish it. Class is in-session!]

"Um," Myn said, struggling to find the right words and finally settling for 'blunt'. "I was a dog for the past 10 days, so..."

Agnes shrugged. "It was [totally handwaved]."

"I spent most of my time for the assignment with Ben," Ella reported. "It was hard to fit in the time commitment, but I'm glad I got to know him. And I got to spy on a fraternity meeting!"

"And we didn't make her wear the traditional robe or participate in the chanting," Ben added.

He ducked his head.

"I'm sorry, professor. I was somewhat ill the last week or so."

[yeah, RL/worstroommateever failure; sorry!]

"It was actually easier than I thought it would be," Jaina admitted. "The hardest part I found was shifting everything I normally do around what was most convenient for all of us."

"Boring," Ino said, twirling a bit of her hair around in one hand. "I didn't have anything to talk 'bout with anyone."

And tact was not always Ino's friend.

"It went pretty well," Eve said. "We managed to work the timing of it out right. Even if we didn't always have a whole lot to talk about, we made due."

Reno stuffed his hands into his pockets and shrugged.

"I ain't so hot with this negotiation stuff, zoto," he stated. "I'm no kinda diplomat."

He had an alternate future daughter who wanted to be one, sure, but she sure as heck didn't get that from him.

[I had week of fail. Sorry I didn't actually participate in this one, guys.]

"I think I definitely need work on the whole diplomat thing," added Tahiri sheepishly. Considering Jedi were supposed to be diplomats, she really did need to work on that.

[OOC: No worries, I am having Month of Fail myself, so I'm sorry too. :/]

"We spent time at one another's workplaces," Alice said, lacing her fingers on her desk. "It gave me a rather interesting perspective on two of my classmates that I hadn't, previously, spoken with."
