It wasn't Lee's day with Sam and he was almost sad about that. It would have been fun to see a baby Ewok going nuts in the library. Lee would have probably had to pay for a few books after Sam tried to eat them or something but he felt it would have been worth it.

Since he had no Ewok to distract him, he was distracting himself in other ways. Namely, he was building things with the books he still needed to shelve. His life was so exciting.

Helen nodded. "Or theology, perhaps?"

"Another spot to look," Lee said. "I confess to not knowing too much about that so I couldn't really tell you. Uh, there might be some stuff under books about your world too."

She sighed. "I don't even know why I'm looking them up, honestly. Too much time on my hands, I suppose."

"Is there something you're looking for in particular or just general knowledge?" Lee asked.

She gave him a rueful smile. "Actually? Since I've memorized all the books my world has on him... It's probably foolish to be wasting my time. But I feel like I should be researching something."

"What's wrong with researching this world?" Lee asked. "Too boring?"

Helen shook her head quickly. "No, it's just... I have no idea where to start," she admitted softly.

"I had the same problem," Lee said. "Don't feel embarrassed about it. I started with wars, myself. Mostly because I found a lot of historical things lead up to or break off from wars. You can learn a lot."

She nodded. "Wars. I'm good at those."

"You can also read about the various presidents," Lee said. "Most of the books on them will detail situations that went on during their presidencies. Another good way to learn."

"Presidents?"

"Leaders of the country," he said. "They're kind of like...kings or queens. Kind of."

"Huh," she said thoughtfully. "But not associated with the church or the military then?"

"Well, they're considered the Commander in Chief, which means they lead the military but they don't actively fight," Lee said. "And they separate church and state here."

She looked up at him curiously. "Whyever do they do that?"

"I can't really explain it very well but it has to do with there being a ton of religions in this place and they can't make one main religion without offending huge groups of people so they keep it separate from the government," he said.

She nodded slowly. "I suppose that makes sense then. On my world everything is based around Uquar. The priests have all the power and they are also the most powerful fighters we have."

"Caprica's got a few major religions," Lee said, "but it's not fully and completely separated. This place has...lots. I mean, lots."

"It must make things confusing for people," Helen said thoughtfully.

"Well, not for me because I don't pay that much attention but yeah, I'm sure it can be," he said and smiled.

Helen nodded. "Well, it won't bother me, I suppose. None of the religions have anything to do with me."

"There you go," he said and nodded. "There's a lot of history but it'll start to make sense once you start reading."

She nodded again. "Thank you. I was feeling rather at loose ends today."

"No problem, it's what I'm here for," he said.

"Still," she said. "It is much appreciated."
