Detention [Saturday, November 8th]

"Hello, kiddies," Robin said with a small smile. Today, detention was meeting in the Danger Shop, which was equipped with three bathtubs with attached hoses to start.

Robin, for her part, was surrounded by five dogs and holding a puppy. "Today, you're going to have a fun detention. Unless you're allergic to dogs or something. But whatever. Today, you get to take care of two dogs each. I'll assign them to you, so don't worry about picking out who gets the cutest or whatever; they're all adorable, and they all are very, very well-behaved."

And as each student came in, she crossed off names on the board, too:

Toby Moriatis
Cal Stephanides
Naomi Wildman

[I'm going out to lunch with my folks, and I'll be back around one, so you'll get your puppies then! ETA: now with a more extensive OOC note.]

Introduce yourself, say why you got detention, and you get two adorable doggies. Pretty sweet deal.

Look, Robin has given you two leashes and the Danger Shop changed to a lovely park! Clearly this must mean something.

Awww, an assortment of ~~moddable~~ doggie toys! NOTHING COULD GO WRONG HERE.

Give Robin back her dogs pls.

Ahhhh, the joys of frantically writing detention while hungover and with parents dragging you out the door.

SO. Everyone gets two dogs to take care of for the day. Ping in and wash them, play with them, and walk them. However, you also have to deal with Robin being ridiculously overprotective about them at the same time and criticizing nigh unto everything you do with the puppies.

Personality-wise, allow me to break down the dogs:

Popcorn is the Shiba Inu puppy, is not particularly smart, is very hyper and pretty much your typical adorable puppy.

Sprinkles is the Dalmatian and is super lazy omg.

Peanut is the Chihuahua and is very bouncy and wee and tends to climb into things.

Pickles is the...dog whose breed I haven't figured out yet, but he's to the left of Sprinkles in the picture. Anyway, he's easily the dumbest, and very sweet-natured but dim enough try to eat everything and so on.

The other two, Dorito (the big Mastiffy-looking one) and Reeses (the little fluffy one) don't really have distinctive personalities, except that Dorito is the biggest of them.

Feel free to work with this if you'd like; I just figured it might be helpful. :D

"Hey, I'm Toby," he said waving and smiling at the puppies. "I totes don't deserve detention, dude. I think they meant some other Toby."

Cal

"Totes?" she repeated, tilting her head.

"Yeah. I haven't done like, anything," Toby reiterated.

"I see," Robin said, nodding slowly as she carefully picked up the Chihuahua and led another small, fluffy dog over. "Okay, well, this is Peanut, and Pickles. They're your charges for the day, okay? They're very sweet boys, I promise."

Somehow she thought Toby would be really suited to playing with Pickles.

"Aww! Isn't he adorable," Toby cooed over the Chihuahua.

"Yes, they both are," she said, as she handed Peanut over and Pickles skittered around Toby's feet. "They're really well-behaved, but I'll be keeping an eye anyway.

Toby filled a tub with warm soapy water and lifted Peanut to get him started. "You don't have much fur, so this'll go real quick," he promised.

"Don't drown him," Robin called from where she was supervising, as Peanut squirmed around. "He's very little."

So, he exchanged taking care of a cute exgirlfriend kitten for two dogs.

Cal didn't know what to think about this. He was thinking that Robin might be slightly crazy to let detention kids take care of her dogs (although he had previously considered Robin a little odd anyway), but he was also thinking another, more important thing.

"Heeey. I finally know what you look like normally now! Or I assume so, anyway."

"Yeah, this is me normally," she said, grinning. "Memorize what I look like now because I'll probably be a plant or something next time you see me."

"Your mommy is over protective, huh?" Toby whispered to Peanut while setting him down in the bubbly water.

Peanut, for his part, wriggled in the water and splashed a wee paw.

"Make sure his nails get clean!" Robin added helpfully.

Robin was a lot hotter than Cal would have anticipated; it was an idle notation in his brain, along with the slight sadness over the death of the theory that he'd never really know what she really looked like.

She was still a crazy dog lady, though.

"Most likely," he agreed with a faint grin before kneeling down, patting his knee to get the attention of one or two of the dogs. "C'mere, boys," he said, then looked up toward Robin with uncertainty. "They are boys, right?"

Toby rolled his eyes at her comment. "You want to help?"

"They all are," she said, urging the Dalmatian and the wee little puppy over to Cal. "This is Sprinkles, and this is Popcorn. Popcorn's the baby of the group, but otherwise, no special instructions. Ever dealt with dogs before?"

"Just making sure you do it right," Robin said sweetly as Peanut splashed happily.
