"Today's class will be by necessity rather short, as I neglected to gather permission to use his likeness from the person I was planning to use as an example because he alarms me so, so I cannot go into specifics. But. Multiplying. Shapeshifting involves shifting mass around and a few kilos appearing out of nowhere or disappearing. Multiplying creates a whole extra person out of nothing. How? And, since most of you seem incapable of coming up with an explanation beyond 'magic' I offer another question: What use and drawbacks can you see to being able to multiply?

John was very clearly watching Ben, given he'd listened to radio the night before. Sadly, he had no clue what to say.

He winced. That was a less than reassuring sight to witness and John was having less of a difficult time believing what he'd heard was true.

Momoko was only paying a little attention today: she'd seen the cutest little red mini-elephant trumpeting angrily past her when she was on her way to class and she was bouncing in her seat, eager to see if she could find it again.

Huh. "So, there's a whole different person running around that's him but not him? Are these other hims a real person, like twins or a clone? Do they think the same thoughts and have the same memories or are they totally different people like twins?"

How shallow is it to say it depends on how cute the person is? Francine almost asked, but didn't. "It would be weird to have two of me. How would I know which was the real me?"
