Lee hadn't done much this week and he was going to blame that on recovering from Parent's Weekend and Kara's visit. It'd take him awhile but he thought he'd recovered enough not to show up in the library with a massive brood on.

The library warranted some quiet time where he caught up on some work and some articles and let himself not think about his crap life.

Pencil was meeting paper rather slowly but Lee was writing during the morning hours.

Hurley wandered in, still a little sleepy.

"Oh hey, Lee," he said as he walked up. He let out a little yawn. "What's up?"

"Hey, Hurley," Lee said, looking up. "Nothing much, trying to keep myself from falling asleep. How 'bout you?"

"Guess I'm good," Hurley said. "Also, kinda guess I'm looking for books on music and flowers."

"Music and flowers?" Lee dropped his pencil and stood up. "Any specific music or flower?"

"Well, I guess I'm trying to be... better at my jobs," Hurley said. "So in... general, I think."

"I can help with that," Lee said, gesturing Hurley to follow him. "Two jobs, huh?"

"Well, I only work at Groovy Tunes on Saturdays," Hurley said. "And my shift at the flower place is Fridays. So it'snot, like... crazy busy."

"Still, that's one more than I have," he said and laughed. "Puts some extra money in your pocket, at least."

"Or... helps me get by," Hurley said. "Don't really get much from home."

"Yeah, you and me both," he said and tapped a few shelves of flower books. "Just about all the flowers you could want right here. Read a few and you'll be an expert in botany."

"Awesome, thanks," Hurley said, looking for any titles with 'beginner' or 'basic', and pulling them off the shelf. "I dunno if I'll be an expert, but... maybe I can at least not sound like an idiot."

"Flowers aren't my specialty," Lee said, "so you'll know more than me, at least."

Hurley chuckled. "Well, now you know who to go to. Uhhh, if Ino is busy."

"Right," Lee said. "Music should just be a few rows down. Same area, same idea. I know a little more about that subject though."

"Thanks man," Hurley said. "I appreciate the help and stuff."

"You need anything else, come find me," he said, nodding. "I'll be here all day."

"Will do," Hurley said. "Probably just gonna sit in here and read for a bit."

Library's closed except for the librarian and other aides.

No more writing, just reading for Lee now.

"I'm bored," Toby hopped on top of the counter by Lee. "Whatcha readin'?"

"Some stupid book on history," he said and flipped it closed. "I'm bored too."

"Let's go start a bar fight again," Toby said. "That was fun that time."

"You want me to get my ass kicked by my girlfriend?" Lee asked, smiling.

"She won't kick your ass if you avoid getting hit this time," Toby reasoned. "We could like, pad your pretty face or something."

"Yeah, because that won't make me look dumb or anything," Lee laughed. "I promised not to get hurt intentionally."

"Well, that ruins lots of fun plans," Toby teased. "What's there to do in Fandom other than like, emo about how much life sucks?"

"Drink," he said. "We could get plastered?"

"That could work. I don't suppose they keep alcohol in the library?"

"Yeah right," Lee said and laughed. "You can do a lot of things in the library but that's not one of them."

"What can you do in the library other than like, look at books and read?" Toby wondered.

"Sex," he said. "Hide and seek."

Toby laughed. "I'm betting your girlfriend wouldn't like the former so much, either."

"Well, she would," Lee said, "if she was here. Other than that, not so much. Still, future reference, good place to do it."

"Who else works the library? Anyone doable?" Toby asked, trying to plan for the future.

"I haven't really done a poll," Lee said and laughed.
