The day after homecoming (*cough* and any post-Homecoming or during Homecoming things that are still being slow played *cough*) found Angelus in the journalism classroom. He'd taken over a few desks and chairs, moving them so that he could sit in one chair with a mug of warm blood on a desk beside him, his feet raised and propped up on a desk in front of him, and a laptop cradled in his lap.

He typed away at his article.

Anyone watching him would notice two things:

1) He was still disturbingly cheerful, albeit focused on his work

2) He was dressed in black jeans, a black long-sleeved, form-fitting T-shirt, black shoes, and a pair of black-rimmed eyeglasses.

It was possible for people to interrupt him if they cared to.

"There was bed," Logan says. "There was even some sleeping," he grins. "And dude - the tequila? I take it back. You are in no way a tease."

"I never make promises I can't deliver on," Angelus leaned back, splaying one hand across his chest in a deliberate parody of a come-hither pose. "But for that other kind of teasing we'll need your girlfriend's consent."

Rory arches a brow.

"I'm going to go get coffee at the Perk," she says, rolling her eyes and giving Logan a quick kiss on the cheek. "Work hard, and don't have sex," she calls over her shoulder.

"Though," she adds, turning around in the doorway, "that was some damn good tequila, Angelus." She gives him a thumbs up, grins, and walks out.

"Didn't know Ror was into tequila," Angelus said.

"She is now," Logan grins. "I shared some of the stuff you gave me." He sits down on a desk, putting his feet up on a chair. "So, I'm thinking of organizing a high-stakes poker game. You interested?"

"Cards?" Angelus immediately flipped his laptop closed, giving Logan his full attention. "I take it back. Ror's going to be very disappointed that I just blew you while she was out."

Logan shrugs. "Oral sex doesn't count." Then he glances over his shoulder to make sure Rory didn't overhear him saying that.

"It is a vicious stereotype that all vampires have an oral fixation," Angelus said, folding his hands across his abodomen. "In my case it's true but that's not the point. When and where?"

"My place," Logan says. "Next Thurday, if all interested parties are available. Speaking of, let me know if there's anyone you think would like to play. Guys only, though. It's going to be a boy's night out."

"Bel," Angelus said at once. "Don't know if he plays, but I'd want him in."

Logan nods. "Haven't met the guy, but if you'll vouch for him, he's in. Gonna be a problem if I invite Marty Blank? Heard you kids were on the outs."

"Not as far as I'm concerned," Angelus spread his hands in an open, welcoming gesture. "I know I kinda scared Angela when I didn't mean to, but I've got nothing against either of them, I swear. Hell half the reason I wanted the event on Thursday was so Marty could take the podium."

"See, I knew that whole thing had been blown out of proportion. Marty was giving me all kinds of warnings and crap." He looks at Angelus. "You know if you ever have a problem with me, you come straight to me, right?"

"Why would I go to anyone else?" Angelus shrugged, as though all other alternatives were too silly to even contemplate. "Hell, with the way I've been burned by gossip in this school I hate to say it but at this point I wouldn't trust anybody to take a message to you on my behalf. Too great a chance for misunderstanding."

Logan nods. "Yeah, I figured. So, who else do you think'd be up for a poker game?"

Angelus frowned, thinking about it. "Don't know if Linds likes poker. Spike should not be invited just because that would annoy him. Faithy'd be good but you said no chicks."

"Can't get girl cooties on the poker chips," he winks. "Besides, chicks - cigars - the phallic imagery would be too much for them to handle."
