"This is our last class before fall break. I hope you enjoy your time off and conduct yourselves as gentlemen and ladies during your leisure days. When you return, we'll jump right into the midterm project which will be half of your grade."

"Today we're discussing pregnancy." He took a moment to look out at the class. "Procreation," he said finally, "is a divine gift. Sex is not inherently evil or sinful. When two people join together within the bonds of wedlock, they not only experience the joy of exploring the bodies God has given them but they also have a chance to create new life."

"Each of you began as a collection of cells barely large enough to be visible to the naked eye and now look at you! You are each intelligent, individual beings capable of creating new life yourself! It's little wonder that the appearance of a new child in this world is called a 'miracle.' But this is a miracle we can understand. Today we'll discuss how an egg," he held up one hand, cupping the air, "and a sperm," he cupped the air with his other hand, "join together and develop into a baby." He clasped his hands together.

He brought out the slide projector again and discussed prenatal development from fertilization to birth.

When the lights came back up, Edward brought out five Empathy Bellies. "Thanks to modern technology, each of you can experience a simulation of a new life growing within you. Join up with your groups and make sure everyone has a chance to try out the belly!"

"I feel sorry for the poor people who drink tap water then," he said. "Even if that were the case, I take care of my business. It's the guys who are so sex deprived that they can't even stop long enough to get a condom on for fear of scaring off whatever white trash they managed to get on all fours that have to worry about that sci-fi male pregnancy crap."

Chuck hadn't gotten that desperate. Yet. Give it a couple weeks.

"Well, you'd think that would be the case..." Gwen deliberately trailed off.

"Why don't you put it on?" Chuck asked. "It'll be good practice for you."

Chuck thought she looked like the type who wouldn't stop popping out kids once they got started.

"And deprive you of the opportunity to set another stunning fashion statement?" Gwen asked. "Wouldn't dream of it. Besides it goes better with your clothes than mine."

"Do I look like I'm wearing a Muumuu? Pregnancy doesn't go with any clothing that didn't come out of a Wal-Mart," he said. Chuck looked Gwen over and deemed that if she wasn't wearing something from Wal-Mart, it was from some place damned close to one.

"No, looks like Oxfam was out of those last time you dropped by," Gwen replied. "My granddad would be right jealous of what you've go on right now though."

"Your, uh, granddad has good taste then," Chuck said. "Too bad a keen fashion sense doesn't run in your family."

"He'd probably even lend you his string vest if you asked nicely enough," Gwen said. "Oh, yes, he doesn't seem to have passed on the colour-blindness."

Chuck wasn't sure if he hated this Gwen or if he just wanted to sleep with her. Probably a bit of both.

"Color coordination is for people with little to no imagination," Chuck replied. That was the excuse he used when he went out with several types and colors of argyle in one outfit.

"Imagination, right, and what would the street value of that be these days?"

Gwen just kind of wanted to throw Chuck in a room with Ianto and see what happened. It'd be popcorn worthy, if nothing else.

Chuck looked down at his outfit and did some quick math. "Around eight grand, I guess."

"You might want to get a refund then," Gwen said. "Because it looks you got ripped off."
