Abby Irene had been working most of the evening in the Danger Shop and so her hair was a little bit out of sorts as the students walked in. Smiling, she straightened it with her hand before looking over the assembled.

"It seems that you young ladies and gentleman have proven to be unable to conduct yourselves properly in an academic setting. Thankfully, we are not living in my day and age and have been provided this lovely educational tool with which to perhaps correct as opposed to simply punishing such behavior."

"You will be attending a small party from my own world and it will be your duty to act as fits the circumstances."

[ocd coming up!] [have to run to the store; back in a bit!back!]

"I could say the same about you." Put a guy in a vest, tight pants, and a tie, and suddenly he though himself dashing. "Cal Stephanides," he offered. "I'm not from around these parts, so you'll have to forgive me for having to ask the same of you, ma'am."

"I haven't," Cal said and, not knowing whether or not it was proper for the time period or not, took his chances and took Ceceilia's hand only to lightly kiss it. "It seems they've held the more interesting details to themselves. A pleasure, Ms. Elliot."

It had to be the suit. It had to be the setting. The acting. That smile. The red hair, although he was never like this with the object.

Definitely the acting, and the fact that, when all was said in done, this was a very fake and computerize lady.

"Mrs.," Cal repeated the correction with an apologetic nod of his head. "That must have just been my wishful thinking getting the best of me. How are you enjoying the party so far, Mrs. Elliot?"

Yep. Definitely the whole fake woman thing. Only explanation. And hopefully one that'll convince Amber if she was paying any attention to him.

Funny how Amber had indeed been close enough to overhear this conversation between him and the red haired woman.

Whatever.

She turned and slipped away, hopefully unnoticed.
