Abby Irene had been working most of the evening in the Danger Shop and so her hair was a little bit out of sorts as the students walked in. Smiling, she straightened it with her hand before looking over the assembled.

"It seems that you young ladies and gentleman have proven to be unable to conduct yourselves properly in an academic setting. Thankfully, we are not living in my day and age and have been provided this lovely educational tool with which to perhaps correct as opposed to simply punishing such behavior."

"You will be attending a small party from my own world and it will be your duty to act as fits the circumstances."

"You shared a glass of wine with her and you...oh, please don't cry," she said, reaching to try and pat her gently on the shoulder. The wine, it couldn't have been poisoned if Ceceilia was alright. Right?

Amber sort of stood off a bit, jaw clenched as she watched all of this. Something was going on here, something called murder. Yes, so it felt a little movie-esque, and maybe she was a little excited to be in the middle of it all.

Still, she had no idea what she could possibly offer... unless - "Someone needs to check her body for the cause of death." State simply and somewhat d'uhishly.

Ho-boy. Amber raised her brows and amid the chaos, worked her way over towards the dead woman. Crouching, she frowned, finding nothing too odd about... "Hey, wait a minute," she said, more or less to herself as she pointed at the medallion. "This medallion looks funny..."

"It's rather dull," she said plainly. "And obviously it doesn't work against poison, which is a shame," she added the last rather quietly. "Why does she, or rather did she, need protection?"

"That woman..." she indicated the one who had been weeping when Amber came upon her, "...was she close to the Duchess?"

"Hm," she mused. "And the wine; odd that two women would share the same glass..." Amber was most likely fishing in a creek with no fish but she honestly had no idea.

Amber stared hard at him for a moment. "I think you should recheck that glass."

"Why? What does that mean?"
