Phys Ed: Week 5, Period 2 (Fri. 10/03)

Ronon was not pleased. Especially not with his TA. He stood in a Danger Shop-created gymnasium glaring at all the students as they filed in, daring them to say anything about the previous day.

"Yesterday was nothing. Today is dancing for your life," Ronon paused, expecting disbelief at the necessity of this task. "You'd be surprised. Pick a song, pick a partner, and keep it lively."

What? It was physical and educational.

"Don't forget to dress out."

"Fox Hair," Firekeeper wandered over to him. "I am needing partner. So you should dance with me."

He seriously sucked at being inconspicuous and for some reason he couldn't ignore Blysse like he could Ino (sort of).

"Um..." There was a pause in which his brain scrabbled. "I'm not all that good at dancing?" he tried lamely.

Firekeeper rolled her eyes. "I not even knowed what dancing is until I meeted humans," she pointed out.

"Met," he mumbled, letting the 'knowed' part slip.

He made a face and scratched the back of his head. "Do you know any songs?" he asked. "What kind of dancing did they teach you?"

"I am not knowing any songs," she admitted sheepishly. "For dances, partner kind," Firekeeper shrugged, not knowing the names for any of the dances usually performed at Hawk Haven gatherings. "Some kind where everyone dance together and switch partners, too." That was terribly helpful, wasn't it?

He supposed that meant those dances were out and he was going to have to actually think of a song. Why was it that when you had to think of a song, your brain went blank and you were stuck and the only band left in his head was ABBA somehow.

"Sounds more like folk dancing," he remarked, stalling so he would remember another song. "Dancing Queen?" ... That wasn't it.

"Queen Elexa not dance much," Firekeeper replied, confused. "Her body is not too strong."

Ichigo grinned. "It's a song," he said and decided he should see if he could find information on that Queen Elexa as it might tell him where Blysse was from.

"Oh," Firekeeper looked thoughtful. "Sound good to me, then," she shrugged, not knowing any better since it's not like *she* had any idea about modern music.

And Ichigo was rapidly realising that this was a very, very bad idea. His image would be completely ruined. Either way, it was too late as whatever mechanism that supplied the music in the Danger Shop decided to start up.

Ichigo held out his hand, but at least this was easier as they could make up their own steps instead of having to waltz. "Just don't laugh at me."

"Wolves are allowed, it's less noticable." Or something. He was near to babbling. He just had to stick to the beat now and not bump into her. He could manage that. Hopefully as he started to move to the beat. He was just moving his feet to the beat and swaying mostly, making sure she was with him first.

Firekeeper had no idea what half those words were supposed to mean. Still, she mimicked Ichigo's movements.

Okay, so maybe this was actually funny and Ichigo glanced up at her, grinning. "Not bad?" he asked and added some jiving. Honestly, he wasn't sure what jiving was either. He just kept a hold on Blysse's hand and did a bit of a shimmy. It felt like jiving?

She didn't know what a shimmy was either, but... here she was, doing one as she grinned back at Ichigo. Part of her was sure they looked ridiculous. The other part didn't much care, because they were dancing.

Completely ridiculous. He was still going to take that as a yes and he stopped worrying and decided to just have fun with this.

How about making her twirl? She could twirl and he brought their hands up to encourage twirling.
