Student Council (Friday, lunch)

Nathan had set up for Student Council with a lunch of pizza. He was all about the health food.

"Congratulations to all of you for winning," Nathan said. "Welcome to your first student Council meeting. We have a few orders of business that need to be taken care of today. The first is electing a president from one of our two seniors. Next you'll need to start brainstorming what you want to do for Homecoming, which will be the weekend of October 11th. We can also hit on anything anyone else would like to suggest.

"Let's get started."

"What exactly is Parent's Weekend?" Joan asked, afraid she knew the answer.

"What it sounds like," Lee said almost apologetically. "Your parents, guardians and friends are invited to the school to meet your teachers and friends and generally embarrass the crap out of you."

Joan groaned. "My parents absolutely cannot come here."

They would ship her off to crazy camp in a heartbeat if they met a talking unicorn.

"It helps to be good at lying," Ino said helpfully. "Tell them that anything odd they see? Are just special effects for the weekend, or costumed students."

"You can always hide from them," Lee suggested. "I did that for the most part last year."
