Altra was alert as they arrived this morning, checking for any kittens that might still be lurking about the place.

Satisfied the library was kitten free, he led the way inside so Karal could get everything ready before he dashed off to class.

Yup, still in the stacks. Karal had been putting away books, but now he was looking for them.

Specific books. If he just wanted a book for a book's sake, he wouldn't have to look so hard.

Lunch

Eating was kind of forgotten today. Instead, Karal and Altra were leaning over a book, studying it intently. Well, Altra was studying it while Karal took verbal notes.

Neither activity was particularly filling.

Fourth period

The minutiae of library maintenance still needed to be taken care of, no matter how interesting the book Karal had found might be.

Fifth period

Given that it was nearing closing time, Karal and Altra wandered the library, ostensibly tidying, but in reality just enjoying the quiet of the books.

The peace was the second nicest thing about a library.
