Library [Sunday, 09/14]

Lee was grateful for the distraction of having to come into the library and do something besides brood in his room. Brooding in the library wasn't as bad. At least he wasn't cooped up in a small room.

Now, he was just cooped up in a huge library. But, the library was good for distractions which was why Lee was idly flipping through a book, only reading every few paragraphs.

Eventually Toby wandered in, dressed in his best black button-up, his hair shining in the light as it was perfectly gelled into place. He was in the library both to return the book in his hand and to see his friend.

"Hey," he said with a grin, waving a hand to make sure he had Lee's attention.

"Uh, no, not really," Lee said, waving that off. "Thanks for feeding Pride. I'd have hated to come back to a pissed off rabbit."

"I'll tell Adah you said so," Lee said, laughing a little. "She's tried to give him to me a few times. I miss anything?"

Toby had to think. "Uh...I don't think so. Other than the kittens. Dude! This book right here turned into a kitten in a little sweater who was obsessed with meowing at the mirror!" Toby had almost forgotten.

"It turned into a kitten?" Lee picked the book up and inspected it for a minute. "And it was wearing a sweater? Uh. I don't think library books are supposed to do that."

"Well, it's a book again," Lee said, going through the process of checking it back in, "so no need to fear it turning into another kitten. Shoulda introduced it to Pride. They could have played."
