Introductory Superhuman Physics, Tuesday Fourth Period [9-2]
At first, there was no teacher at the front of the classroom, and the blackboard was blank. Then, there was a swift breeze, and suddenly a lean man with pointy features stood at the front of the room. The blackboard now read:
Introductory Superhuman Physics
Mr. Beaubier
"Good afternoon, everyone," Jean-Paul said. "This is Introductory Superhuman Physics; if you are one of our new and naive students allow me to take this opportunity to teach lesson one: yes, superpowers exist. A lot of your fellow students and teachers have them. I direct your attention to my feet." Which were hovering several inches off the floor. "In this class we will be covering how these superpowers work. The class is titled 'physics' but will by necessity delve into some biological matters as well, and as a disclaimer, I will tend to default to how these things work in my home universe. If you happen to know your universe works differently on a particular topic, I would be very pleased if you would share with the class. Your syllabus is not ready this weekdue to Dragon*Con; I will have it for you by next week.
"Now, for this week, we will do the usual round of introductions. This will also help me tailor your syllabus. I would like to know your name, where you are from, why you are taking this class, and about any superpowers you might have. Simple, non?"

Re: Listen/Chatter
"Hmmm. What to do, what to do?"
Re: Listen/Chatter
Seriously, superhumans? She supposed after a couple of months in Fandom she shouldn't be surprised they existed, but it still kind of blew her mind that you could actually teach a class on this stuff.

BritishCoruscanti accent. "I'm a Jedi, so faster reflexes, telekinesis and a modified telepathy are part of who I am." He cast an admiring glance at the teacher's floating. "I can't fly like that, though."Re: Introductions

Re: Introductions
"My name is Momoko Akatsutsumi. I'm from Tokyo City in Japan, and in my world I have a secret identity as a superheroine of justice. When I transform into Bl... uh, her, I am stronger then normal, have a really cute dress, and can fly. I also have a yo-yo that I use as a weapon and I can fly a mecha. Oh, that's a giant robot, in my world. Only it's not alive, like Bumblebee, who's actually an alien since he's from another planet. A mecha's just a machine, or sometimes three machines if we separate, but still not alive."
There. She'd told her powers and kept her identity secret! She smiled happily.

"Um, I'm Teddy Altman," He said, smiling once. "I'm from New York. I'm really strong and can change shape."

"Oh, um. I'm Francine," she said, once Katchoo had taken her turn. "I'm from Houston too, same place as Katc... Katina, so I don't have any powers either. But that one weekend we all turned into ponies, I turned into one with wings, and could fly. That was amazing."

Fixing that issue in one school was enough for him.
"Warren Peace, and yes, it's a pun." He eyed everyone in the room, challenging anyone who dared make an issue of it. "I'm from a place called Maxville, I'm in the class because it seems like it could be useful, considering I can do this."
He lit both of his arms on fire by way of demonstration.
