Mac was behind the desk with, wait for it, a book.

And not of the e-variety.

She was happier now she didn't taste disgusting, but that didn't mean she felt like she was especially missing out by not being sociable at the newbies picnic, either. They'd still be around tomorrow, and hopefully in less concentrated numbers.

There was a stack of library card forms nearby, and if they wanted a tour today, she was around.

"Uh, yeah, my surname's Mackenzie," she told him with another little nod. When she could possibly avoid giving away the Cindy part, she did.

"You're... not from around here, I guess?" she said, moving around the desk.

"New Jersey, though I've gotten around," Indy replied, "though I have a feeling this place is a hell of a lot different."

Mac shot him a knowing smile and a nod. Fandom really was a hell of a difference for everyone, regardless of the universe they came from.

She gestured towards the the a door. "Your office is in there," she told him. "And uh, special collections is at the back. No one goes in there without a teachers note... Except you, I guess."
