"So you... come from the stars? From up there?" and he gestured to the sky, that held no visible stars right now.

"A very, very long way away," Donos said. "I don't even know if I'll be able to see my homeworld from here."

"I don't know," Myn said honestly. "I won't know until it happens, really. Do you miss your home?"

"No, not really. But I know I had rather different circumstances than most."

"A chance, I'll say," he admitted with a shrug of his shoulders. "One I certainly didn't have before. But I suppose it's different for everyone. Did you... choose to come here?"

Donos shook his head. "Not really. This is a chance for me, yes...but it's my last." He winced and went back to repressing again. "Anyway, it should be interesting. This place is very...different."

"Different depending on where you go. Where I'm from, there's been ongoing battles for the past...well, years." Myn shrugged. "It keeps us snubfighter jockeys busy."
