And over here was another section of tables and chairs, still close to the food so no one accidentally starved while trying to avoid the masses.

Dor was verrrrrry carefully poking at a bowl of cherries. Yes... they looked like normal cherries but where he came from you had to be careful

"Hi there!" Ino said brightly. "New, right?"

Dor looked up from where he was poking the bowl of cherries and realized that he was probably sticking out like a sore thumb by doing that.

"Um. Yes," he said straightening up. "I'm Dor."

Ino had, really, seen weirder in her time here.

She wasn't even going to giggle at his name.

No, really. She was totally grinning for some other reason. Honest. "Nice to meet you!" she said. "I'm Ino, and have you never seen cherries or something?"

"Cherries? Oh. Sure," Dor said with a shrug. "I was just making sure they were safe to eat. One bad cherry can ruin your day."

"...like, if one isn't ripe?"

"Um. Something like that," Dor said taking one and popping it in his mouth. "These seem pretty okay."

"Hello!" Robin waved to Dor as he got some chips.

"They aren't poisonous," Alice observed. "Or at least, if they are, then they're not poisonous in very high amounts. I've had seven thus far with no reaction. Should I develop vicious cramps, I'll inform you at once."

"That's... um. Very nice of you," Dor said after a pause. "I was more worried about them exploding."

"My seven haven't exploded yet, either," Alice observed. "If they explode now, that's going to be rather more of a problem for me, but I suppose I shan't have to notify you. You'll see that rather clearly."

"The ones I'm familiar with would have exploded when you chewed on them," Dor explained. "So I'm guessing these aren't the ones I know of. Hi, I'm Dor."

"Alice Liddell," Alice said, bobbing him a very abbreviated curtsy. She then smiled and opened her lips to reveal all of her teeth. "All intact," she said. "Therefore, your own incisors are safe as well."

"Oh good," Dor said with a grin and grabbing a few cherries. "Nice to meet you. Are you from a place around here?"

"Not remotely," she beamed. "Oxford, England, which is across the ocean, and I've been displaced a century and a half. A little less than that. Yourself?"

"Oh, it's a place called Xanth," Dor replied. "Which isn't a part of Mundania so I doubt you've heard of it."
