"Ooooh," Ino said. "From a world of weird and whacky then? One guy didn't believe me when I told him the island travelled around this summer, and another nearly fainted when I said he might wake up one day as a girl."

That made Donos hesitate.

"Weird and wacky depends on your point of view." Donos shrugged, picking his words carefully. "I am familiar with other worlds, having been to several of them."

"Explain what to you?" Donos asked, dodging the question.

Donos raised his eyebrows and looked back unflinchingly. "I can't explain something to you if you don't tell me what you would like explained."

"It's hard to dodge a question when you don't know what the question is," Donos pointed out.
