Since he was still shirtless, Chad decided to just ditch the guitar thing for a while and catch some sun.

Because, yeah. He clearly needed to tan.

Recognizing the girl from earlier, Chad gave her the faintest of barely-there smiles, slightly apologetic. "I still have the guitar down here; if you'd like, I can play again. It's just a little awkward without a shirt."

Lola shook her head, smiling back. "You don't have to. It was very good, though. I'm Lola."

"Chad," he offered back, with a slight nod. "And thank you. I always end up liking my music better when I know it's been appreciated."

Chad nodded. "Yeah; music's always been very important to me. You play any instruments, Lola?"

"Now that's one I don't know yet," Chad said. "German."

"Me, neither," Chad admitted with a small smile, switching back. "It's my latest, so it's still rusty, but I've been practising a lot."

"Japanese and Spanish. Those were my first ones."

"Japan," Chad said, "...and Mexico. It's...kind of a long story."

Well, not really long, not in the way Chad told it, but talking about dead parents hardly seemed the best conversation to hold with someone you just met.
