Bumblebee waved as he noticed the glance, trying to seem as approachable as he could.

Meg waved back, even as her agents moved a little closer. "Guys, I'm sure it's fine," she called over her shoulder.

"Don't mind them. They take their jobs seriously."

He looked at both suited men curiously, then at Meg. "What exactly is their job?"

"Protecting me," Meg explained. "My mother's the President. So there's always the chance someone might want to hurt me in order to hurt her."

"Oh, they're bodyguards," he realized. "Your mother is the President of which country?"

She nodded, "The United States. But a version most people here have never heard of apparently. Which isn't such a bad thing."

"Yes, I don't believe the American President where I come from is female," he said. "I'm Bumblebee, by the way."

"It's a pleasure and yes, since the beginning of the summer," he confirmed. "Fandom is a very interesting place I've found, so far."

"That's one way of putting it," she said with a small smile. "They told me it was different. They didn't mention anything about different dimensions or aliens or robots."
