Escape Artistry: Week 7, Period 3 (Thurs. 08/21)

When students entered the Danger Shop for the final time this workshop session, they would find the large area blank other than a table filled with all the different tools they'd encountered, including paintball guns, wooden bokutō, screw drivers, hammers, awls, and crowbars.

"Today you're escaping from the final any way you can. There's the door," he pointed his thumb at a control panel that had appeared on the wall next to where the door had previously been. "It opens with a code. Your job's to try to get me to tell you the code or figure out another way to get through the door. Who wants to go first?"

Ronon grinned back. "Nah, more fun if you don't know." It was totally in his hair. It's not like tight leather pants allowed for pockets.

That sounded like a challenge. Awesome.

Rikku was going to hop forward and aim an upward jab at the underside of his chin. One which was easily blocked or deflected, but which might give her enough cover to see if those leather pants even had pockets. It kinda didn't look like they did.

Raising his arm to knock her blow aside, Ronon was interested in getting to see her methods in action.

Rikku let him block the hit, quickly brushing her other hand as lightly as possible against his side. Damn. Solid seam, no pockets. Nice, soft leather, though. She stepped back and kept her arms up. "Okay, no pockets," she said, musing out loud.

Well, not on the pants. Hmmm. She aimed a high kick towards his torso. Maybe if he moved to deflect it, she could see if he had some inner layer under that shirt of his.

Tight leather vests really didn't leave much space for a shirt underneath. He spun to avoid her kick raising his arms. "No pockets anywhere."

He pointed down at his boots. "I'm curious about your plan for those."

Rikku chewed her lower lip. "It's not impossible," she said. "Could be kinda awkward, if it's under your foot getting all stinky. Is it?"

She didn't really think he'd give up any information, but he might.

"Not in my boot. Getting it out would be a pain," Ronon told her honestly. "Give up?"

"Not even," Rikku grinned. Hmmm. Those arm bands were interesting ...

She hopped forward and threw her fists out in a flurry, mostly watching to see how his wrists moved when he blocked or countered. Looking for zippers or flaps.

Ronon grinned, enjoying the bit of sparring he could get, blocking her moves and countering with his own. His arm bands, however, were there for combat purposes only.

Rikku hopped back again. Dang. One more question.

"This isn't, like." Vague gesturing. "This isn't somewhere that I could get charged with groping you if I try for it, is it? 'Cause ..."

... okay, he was really hot, but also a teacher and that would probably be Bad.

Ronon raised his eyebrows. "You're gonna grope me now?" He wondered where she thought the code was.

"No," she said brightly. "I'm asking if I can rule out areas that would get both of us in huge trouble if I checked. So I can skip 'em. 'Cause checking them would be kinda ..."

Embarrassing? Or hot. One of the two. If not both. Except she had a boyfriend and all, so, mostly that first one.

"Yeah, nowhere dirty," Ronon promised. Though, if Faith was around...things might be different there.

That left ... whoa. That didn't leave much.

... except he had awesome dreads going. Except. Could you really keep a code stuck in your hair like that?

Well, Lulu had kept potions in her cleavage, so. Seemed about as structurally sound.

Now, how to GET to it, that was another matter.

She was going to aim a few uppercut punches and see if maybe, those would distract from her pulling a leg sweep. Maybe?

If he went down, Ronon was taking it far too easy and would be found in the gym for days practicing. And yet. Maybe he was just going along with her plan to see what she'd do. That would explain him letting her sweep his legs.

Score. She was okay with being humored. Whatever worked.

With him on the floor, she was going to drop down and see if she could sweep one hand through his hair.

It failed at "subtle," but the hell with it.

There were a few little code cards tucked his dreads. Along with a variety of knives. Rikku should watch her fingers.

Well, on the down side, she had a big, bloody gash on the back of her hand.

On the upside, she had a card with a code on it. One that she hopefully wouldn't bleed on too much.

"I'm usually more sneaky with this whole thief thing," she declared.
