When the class walked in that morning there was no teacher. None. Zip. Zero.

Niet.

Nada.

(I could go on like that forever.)

But, thankfully, he would not. Instead there was a bright flash of light and--

A very confused looking mutant appeared next to the usual teacher. Cable battled the confusion fiendishly, and it didn't hold for more than a few seconds. "Good morning, class..." he said, then shot a look sideways. "Wade."

Deadpool shot him a look. "Don't undermine my authority with my first name!" Because, you know, he had such authority.

"Keeping with last week's theme, we'll be studying the elusive metrosexual. I have, at great personal risk, captured one for you all to examine."

"Captured?" Nate asked, dryly. He was wearing jeans. And a turtleneck. "I'm not a metrosexual."

Deadpool carried on as if he hadn't spoken. "Note the perfectly coiffed hair, the neatly trimmed and manicured nails, the turtleneck sweater despite it being summer..."

"As opposed to pyjamas," Cable deadpanned, eyeing the class with equal dryness.

That just got him a glare that promised a bullet to the brainpan.

"The designer jeans," He continued. "The feminine cocking of his hips as he stands."

A beat.

"Although we could just blame the artist for that one..."

"What Wade is trying to say is that you can dress well and still beat him in a fight," Cable translated. "Thank you..."

"And what Nathan is trying to say is that acting like a girl doesn't make you any less of a man in anyone's eyes." He snickered. "You get facials."

He was twelve.

"Not really," Cable said, crossing his arms and shooting Wade an amused look that was downright stoic. "It's basic hygiene; clothes should generally be practical. I have my back to deal with." His big, half-metal, heavy-looking back.

"Translation: WOMAN!"

Cable just smiled at the class. "Don't mind him, he's overcompensating," he said, kindly. "The fashion isn't what's important here. I hope you all realize that..." He glanced sideways again. "...Did you get those toys for Jan...?"

Deadpool glared more. "Next time you drag me along to some big important speech for the U.N., I'm going to undermine you the whole time."

"I trust you will," he replied. "In the interest of this class, would any of you have any ideas for a new uniform...?" Okay, there were certain things about Providence he might have missed.

"Today was supposed to be a final..." Deadpool sighed. "Fine, fine. You all design something for Miss PrissyPants here. Consider that the final for the class."

"Thank you," Cable finished, and nodded at the class. "That'll be all. So, about Jan..."

Cable raised an eyebrow and ignored the question in a way that he'd learned through years of practice.

It wasn't even really Wade's influence. "Hannibal King, I take it."

"Yeah," he said, a little surprised. "Has your buddy over there talked about me?"

"Deadpool talks about a lot of things," Cable replied, dryly. "Don't take it personally."

"I take it as a compliment," he said, grinning. "If he talks about me, it means I've reached him. And we have a special bond because of that."

"One would assume you can dress yourself," Viki said mildly. "As it doesn't appear that you asked for being present. Hello."

"I suppose I could also do a lot better," she said, considering him. "Though I don't pretend to understand why it matters so much as long as the person wearing the clothing is well with it."

"In the end, it's just personal choice," he said, with a slight smile. "Which sometimes can use an impulse or two."

"I'm not sure I would quantify impulse as arriving in a class being told that this will be so." Viki shrugged lightly. "How did you arrive in class, by the by?"

"I wasn't talking about that part as an impulse," Cable said, wryly. "And I have my own teleport system." To which Deadpool came unfortunately (or at times, fortunately) attached.

"Does it always flash?" she wondered. "Wouldn't that be rather disruptive to your eyes?"

She considered that, then shrugged a bit.

"Getting used to something like that, I suppose, is possible. If not comfortable."

They teleported into class! So cool! Momoko bounced in her seat during the entire lecture. This was the best class so far, and by far the coolest 'final' she'd ever been assigned. Uniforms? She didn't know HOW uniforms fit into modeling, but who cared? She jotted down a few things in her notebook, then kept an eye out for a chance at a free moment with their guest.

She was still had a big grin on her face when she finally approached Cable. She gave him an excited wave. "Hi! Uhm, I need to know a few basics before I draw... um, DESIGN your - it is a hero uniform, right? You're not a garbage man on the side, or anything? Not that there's anything wrong with being a garbage man but it's not really the same kind of uniform; although I'll still design one, and just not because it's a final. Garbage men need uniforms too, but maybe I'll have to drop the cape idea, if you are."

"'Hero uniform' works," Cable replied, amused. It depended on your definition of 'hero', really, but he wasn't going to go into semantics for a class on fashion. "And I'm not a garbage man." Semantics and metaphors notwithstanding. "But you might want to check that cape for aerodynamics..."

In case he took up flying again.

"Hmm. Well, if you're gonna fly with it, then yeah! Wait, you can fly? Without a ship! Eep! I should've asked that first!" Momoko scratched out a few lines in her notebook. "Well, then I guess I don't have to work in a helmet and I can expand the design of the suit to ignore cabin constraints. You seemed like you'd have a ship. Ahah..." She scribbled a moment more, then looked up at him with an apologetic grin.

"This is so cool an assignment, sorry if I'm too excited. I kind of really like superheroes and this is way neat that I get to meet one and maybe design a costume and what colour of hero are you?"

Well, she was definitely infectious with the enthusiasm, he had to grant her that. "Blue," Cable said, not just a little bit amused anymore at this point, "And yellow."

Momoko tilted her head and blinked at him. "Huh. Blue? Sciencey and super smart? I can see that. Yeah. But yellow? You seem to be more of an actual leader than a moral support guy, but I guess that's just what yellow is in my universe. Are you really tied to yellow? Are you sure you wouldn't like maybe red or Oh! Gold? Gold usually means a special leader or guide or assistance. Oh! Gold is good." She added another note.

"Oh, and you said flying. Do you have any other powers that need special fabric or rules or maybe allergies? Ah. Weapons... Do you us them? Guns or other weapons? Do they need special pockets or maybe do you carry them with you on like a belt? Do you want a belt with, like pockets? Oh! Mine has a communicator in it, I can design one like that. I can't make it, but I can draw it." Momoko was gonna make him the BEST uniform he'd ever seen. She was absolutely sure of that.
