In the Journalism classroom, it's a little quieter than usual, simply from the lack of students. The coffee machine is perkolating away, ready for the thorough use it's going to get, and Chloe is sitting surrounded by papers and video tapes, sorting excitedly through all of the election notes she's made over the past few days.

"You're fricking insane, you know that, right?" Jake says finally, having finished her god-knew-which-number coffee of the day.

"I've been told that before, but it's been for a variety of reasons," Chloe says, smiling over at Jake. "Why do you think I'm insane? Because I'm enjoying this?"

"That, and because you volunteered for this. Only crazy people volunteer," Jake says with conviction.

Chloe laughs. "It isn't crazy to volunteer if you're doing something you love. And if this helps me get a real reporting gig later? It'll totally be worth it."

Jake still looks doubting. "Right. If you say so. So what are we doing?"

"Well, for starters, we've got to see what we've got, and figure out if we're missing anything," Chloe replies, looking at all the little piles of papers she's started to accumulate.
