Summer Fitness [Period 2, Friday]

The class had been handwavily informed to meet in the Danger Shop, however when they got there, they would have found it set up to a simulation of a clearing in a densely overgrown rainforest (although with less humidity), with no sign of Bond other than the two sets of paintballing gear set up at either end of the clearing, and the note pinned to the trunk of the lone tree in the clearing.

Divide into the indicated groups, gear up and scatter into the surrounds.

The simulation is set so weapons will become active five minutes after you finish gearing up.

Will catch up with you all later.

- Bond.

Toby stared at the gear for a minute before starting to outfit himself in red. This could be a good opportunity.

Assuming he didn't get shot repeatedly.

Andros had never done paintballing before but he started to put on the red gear, rather glad that his team colour was red.

Johnny got his gear and decked himself out quickly. This class totally rocked.

Sam started putting on the red gear. He looked worried. Quite worried.

Heeeey. Paintball.

Reno could totally do stealth. He was, after all, in the covert ops.

That didn't mean he was going to necessarily aim for stealth. It was more fun to run around and shoot things when the opportunity came up.

Into the blue gear he went!

Unfamiliar with the phenomenon of paintball, Cal got on his red gear thoughtfully, thinking that, if anything, this was going to be interesting.

And it didn't involve water, so he was happy.

As he put on his blue gear, Harry thought this whole thing was awesome. Little did he know...

Toby was only freaking out a little as he ran for the trees to hide.

Johnny ran for the trees, grinning way too much, but totally in control. His eyes were sharp, his breathing calm as he pressed his back behind a tree, seeing if he saw a flash of red anywhere.

Beneath her mask Cassandra was grinning. This was a good class.

Yep. Paintball. Totally cementing the fact that Reno loved this class.

And if he had been a little red bird for this one, he would have shivved someone for it later. Seriously. Off he went into the forest to find himself a nice place to lay low.

Turk mode: On.

Mind overloaded with Oh my god on repeat, Toby had a moment of hope that he'd get the chance to shoot at Kevin. Not that he was still bitter or anything.

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Johnny swore he saw red. He aimed his gun, waiting for a shift of movement.

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] always-damp.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Toby didn't know that he was supposed to hold still and so was peeking around the tree trunk with his gun sticking out very unstealthily.

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
And that's when Johnny fired, hoping he got in a hit.

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] always-damp.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"OW!" Toby shouted, feeling the paintball explode against his arm. "I thought this wasn't supposed to hurt!"

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"YES!" Two shots to kill right? Johnny aimed again, got ready to fire.

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] always-damp.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Toby had not been paying attention to the instructions and thought he was already dead, emerging fully from his hiding place. "Oh my god, did it get in my hair?" He was so going to need a shower.

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 03:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Johnny fired. "Dude! Have you never played paintball before? You're dead man, dead!" Well, not for real, but he's just saying.

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] always-damp.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ow! So why are you still shooting me?" Toby didn't like this game. Couldn't they run or swim or have naked wrestling instead?

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Two shots kill," he stated. "Rules of the game."

Re: Paintball! - SF [Week 5]

[identity profile] iseewhatyoumean.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It was very thoughtful for Mr. Bond to provide this nice dense jungle canopy. Cassandra felt that it would be a shame to waste that so she quickly found a tree to scramble up. Once she was up there she had a nice clear view of the area.

The fact that almost all the trees were close enough together to making jumping from one to another easy only made the high ground that much better.

Now if she could just happen upon one of those hapless blue-wearing targets.

Reno had found himself a nice place to wait, crouched down low in the foliage, his back to a tree. If anyone was coming his way, he'd have a hell of a time getting out.

But this was Reno. He was cocky, and totally intending to hit everyone else, first.

[headed to work, any replies will be answered in massive-later-tonight-sp, sorry!]

Cal held his gun with uncertainty, pooling most of his attention towards anyone in blue who might be shooting at him. His offense was questionable to unreliable, so he'd have to depend on his quick reactions and agility.

In short, he was probably doomed.

Harry's gun kept jamming. Harry blamed wizardry. Harry, subsequently, made an awesome target. And a very tall one, too!
