Summer Fitness [Period 2, Friday]

The class had been handwavily informed to meet at the pool this class, where they would have found Bond doing laps as he waited for the class to arrive.

"Good morning class," he started, emerging from the water to address them. "I trust you all remembered to bring your bathers like my email said? Good, now as you've probably all guessed, today's class will involve swimming, so first things first, I would like everyone who feels confident in their swimming abilities to go to my left and those who don't to go to my right."

After the groups had sorted themselves, Bond started by addressing the group on his right. "You, I would like to go get changed, and then to come back here to observe your classmates while they finish the first exercise," he said before turning to face the others. "You, I would like to make your way to the deep end of the pool, get in, and swim to the shallow end." He paused to make sure the part where they would be fully clothed while doing this had sunk in. "Then you can go get changed into your bathers. Those of you with powers are not to use them, and I will be watching in case any of you get into trouble.

"After you've finished that, we can get properly started."

A bit surprised that they were being made to swim with their clothes on, Johnny raised his brows but didn't comment. He walked to the deep end and dove in, swimming towards the shallow end without any problem other than perhaps being a touch slower than usual.

The black shirt he was wearing was fairly tight, although not skin-tight, and quite light; as such, it barely impacted his ability to move his arms, even when it was wet. His jeans, however, created rather a lot of drag, and definitely slowed down his kicking. As such, Ronan struggled a little bit along the pool, relying almost solely on his arms to propel him; still, once he found his groove, he actually discovered he rather liked the extra challenge. Swimming-while-clothed wasn't something he'd do for fun, but it wasn't bad for something a little extra when swimming to work out.

Toby'd never really swam with clothes on, but it was a lot like rolling on the beach just without the beach part.

Emerging from the water, he shook his head in slow motion, water flying everywhere, his tight shirt clinging wetly to his chest and his pants dragging. Oh, was he supposed to be doing something?

It was Cassandra's habit to wear relatively tight and light clothes because, really, you never knew when you'd have to fight someone. That and the fact that swimming with clothes on had been part of her training made it rather easy for her to make it across the pool.

Eventually it would dawn on her that the shirt she was wearing was both light cotton and white.

Teyla was thankful that she had dressed in fairly comfortable clothing for class. She still didn't enjoy getting everything soaking wet though, especially when her clothes clung to her as she got out on the other side.

This would be where the regretting of the decision to go left came in. Oops. Still, if nothing else Harry was stubborn. So he got in anyway and started swimming. The stubbornness was probably the only thing that kept him going to the other end of the pool. Pay no attention to the boy clinging to the far wall like his life depended on it. His life didn't actually depend on it. Drowning while standing up in the shallow end when you're as tall as Harry would be a neat trick.
