Escape Artistry: Week 2, Period 3 (Thurs. 07/17)

When students entered the Danger Shop, they'd find themselves transported to the lush, green bank of a huge river. The water in front of them was deep. How deep? Let's stick with very. The water was also dark, meaning if students looked very closely they might chance to see the shadow of creatures lurking beneath the surface. Tied to the riverbank was a large raft with 20 oars, 5 bags of food, and 5 bags of medicine. Should any students be blessed with super sight, they might be able to see the massive rocks dotting the path to the other side through the dense fog that hung in the air.

Again, Ronon was standing in front of the scene, not looking particularly pleased while he waited for the majority of students to show up.

"Everybody on the raft!" Ronon's voice boomed above any chatting that may have been taking place. "Each of you will take a turn guiding us across the river. Try not to kill anyone or lose your supplies and we'll call it a good escape."

Jaina pondered her options. She didn't think she could get them over the rocks, and didn't know if she could steer them clear before they hit anything.

She sighed, deciding to try to steer away was a good idea anyway, with the added disclaimer of "Hold on and try not to die."

"...Just like that," Jaina said when they got through it. "Good work, guys." Maybe now they wouldn't suck.

"Some training for them would have been nice," she said. "You know it's bad when they start complaining straight off."

"This is why I like the military. That tends to get pounded out of you pretty quick," she decided.
